I've almost been working on this project for a year now! I took about five months off before I started the 3D modeling.

Here are some pictures of the 3D work done so far.

Station, the red supports will be hollowed out to look like the real thing.

I completed the car texture today.

The station looks kind of funny without the textures

I should have the recreation done soon. Don't worry, it won't be like everyone else's...

It's been a busy week for Millennium Force. Grass is growing everywhere, coasters are popping up in the background, stations are getting modified, and footers are finding their homes.

Real, I've borrowed your TTD tower for now, I'll get around to modeling one of my own at some point.

The station is starting to look more like the real thing.

Queue area is being poured.

Exactly! The nerve of some people to offer help... just sad.

What I meant is, people should wait till the builder wants testers. He might not have asked for any for a reason.

OHMYGOD!
This looks awesome, and I seriously can't wait to ride/see it! I always wanted to see a good Millenium force recreation with good scenery!
I just hope the trackwork is as good as the scenery! Does look that way! :D

If you need any help with anything, I'd be glad to give my best!

Looks great, but I have one concern. However, the pictures you have don't really give me a chance to address it. Is it possible for you to take one as a side view of the lift? Other than that, I can't wait to see the finished product!

I'm trying to keep the frame rate down, but I think it's inevitable that this will be a memory hog. I want to remove some primitives from the dragster tower as it is. It would be nice to have the track look realistic, but for the brief moment you are next to the tower, it's not worth it.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get bump maps to show up in NoLimits?

They aren't supported. NL only supports reflection maps I'm afraid.

I wouldn't mind one bit just riding the track without the 3ds manta and dragster models [;)]

But it's so much better seeing them in the background.

if you are worried about causing this to make people's computers turn to 1fps, i'd recommend uploading a deluxe edition, and hosting an edition that is basic, which only includes track & supports. Or, an easy "How to" delete the hell out of everything except vitals in order to make track rideable.

as for me, I am not worried about frame rate. I doubt you could get mine down to 98. :D

My old computer was a 1.1Ghz Single Core, 256Mb of ram, and a video card with 128Mb of video ram on it, and it could still run Real's Top Thrill Dragster/Night Version

The extra scenery in the background really makes the ride feel realstic. I think the more you have (with out overdoing it) will make the riding experience more enjoyable.
