Oooooohhhhh my god - I decided to play around with some skyboxes and scenery tricks and I am utterly speechless! :o

Just look at the detail!

So worth operating at about 13 fps in the simulator

What settings did you change exactly? It looks really great!

There were several changes made, here's the list (and how to do so yourself if anyone else is interested!):

All of these changes were created in a custom environment, which can be created under the Advanced ---> Environment Editor tabs. I called this one "blusky" because it is a cloudy blue sky, but I forgot the 'e' when I had saved it.

The main thing that I changed was the skybox - which I used one of David Ainsworth's "Cumulus Blue" environments. It took some rearranging to get the different pictures to line up but the final product is seamless!

One of the key things to do if you're using a custom skybox/effects, is to uncheck dynamic sky and dynamic clouds. The effects won't show up without doing so!

In order to get a more vivid background, the fog setting is down to almost 0.

Outside of the editor, these are the detail settings I use. Although the frame rate on my computer hovers around 10-30 fps, the video recordings turn out perfectly fine! So I keep the poor frame rate in exchange for high quality videos 8-)

If anyone has any questions on the skybox - I'll gladly answer :D

Looks great so far. Maybe add a tad more supports (like one extra pole) on the turn at 1:06, they don't look dense enough to me.

Getting close... Who's ready?! :D

I want to ask you guys this before I make the video; which of these clips do you prefer? The clip with motion blur, or the clip without? I've used the blur for my last two videos, but want to make this one my best yet! I put them side by side to make an easier comparison.

I meant to say this a few days ago, but didn't get around to it. In case you didn't notice, LiveWire was not released yesterday (or today, depending on your time zone!). I got far busier than I ever imagined, and could not complete scene work by today. And with our Fall Play coming up in a month, it's unlikely I'll get far unless some miracle happens.

But in better news - check out the progress that has been made!

Just in case you needed another reminder on how massive this project really is:

God this thing took forever, and it's still crappy!

And something cool that I think doesn't really deserve a topic in itself but I wanted to mention, I was screwing around with the colors and discovered this cool navy blue/black combo. Expect to see this someday (already have a theme in mind to go with it) :D

I can help with the sign if you'd like! The little lightning bolt would be the only tricky part
