OK so I bought the Xbox 360 Elite about 3 weeks ago. I knew there would be no bundled games within the package so I had to buy at least one. Halo 3 was the choice as I already played the first 2. Unfortunately to me I??????m not an extreme hardcore gamer and don??????t really know what games I??????ll like, especially out of a limited number of choices.

I??????ll rather ask you guys by giving a review on some of the PC stuff I own.

PC: Half-life 2 Orange box. (Brilliant set, Game play was fun and the pacing wasn??????t off at all. The story also flows properly in all three versions. The downside is that the style was a bit predictable in most cases, everytime you trigger something enamies come from the far side etc?????? No HL Multiplayer and the downloadable DM version is a table, fridge and car massacre. Also the episodes could have been a bit longer.)

PC: Fear & Fear extraction point. (Scary game with some good physics. Slow motion effects also works pretty well here. The AI was a bit more unpredictable and the paths had virtually no black holes. Cons are the environment around you, after the first warehouse there??????s just another warehouse and then yet again another etc?????? Only at the end of extraction point things started to look interesting, but that was the end.)

PC: Crysis. (Graphics unlike I??????ve ever seen before and the frame rate manages. Explosions are excellent and the dynamic world around you just ads to the insane engine behind this game. Cons, Repetitive game play. Vehicle??????s handles crappy even with an Xbox controller. It gets boring after the first level. The game is most definitely created to show off the engine and not for fun.)

PC: NFS Pro street. (OK EA should really stop this Brakpan street race thing and give us a good racing game again. Not that street racing isn??????t entertaining, but everyone that actually finished NFS Underground should be insanely bored by now. Pro street gives a bit more realistic driving experience but it still comes down to ??????pimping up you??????re ride man??????.)

PC: NFS Porsche 2000 (was a brilliant combination of racing, fun, and possibilities. All the parts you bought actually had an affect on you??????re driving and not some stupid reputation slider thingy.)

PC: Colin McRae Dirt. (Now here??????s a racing game that beats most. Mainly because I??????m an off road fan but this game is brilliant. The only downside is the limited number of tracks on the game. Stunning!!!)

PC: Spiderman 3 (its OK, I especially like the scale of NY in the game and not to mention that you can access the sewer systems and subway tunnels. I liked swinging around the city but the fighting on the other hand was a bit bleh. Also the cut scenes where you have to press a sequence of buttons was one of the most ridicules Ideas for a next gen game, it doesn??????t feel like actually playing but rather looking at some action movie. The game also gets pretty boring and repetitive after a short time.)

Just a little about what I like & dislike.
Any suggestions for 360 games?

all on your tastes. purely that. halo 3, gta4, cod4, froza motorsport2, imo, are games you should own if you own a 360. but if you don't like shooter than cod4 or halo isn't for you.

its all on what your preferences are.

I like my shooters but more like UT3. I still believe UC2 was the best for Xbox but it doesn't seem like they'll make another one. I got all three Halo's now but when playing on live I get ripped to shreds.

I like Gears of War a lot.
I also like Battlefield: Bad Company a lot.
Of course only for their online game play. I don't bother much with the story mode. [:)]

GOW looks insane I'm just a bit concerned about the 3rd person camera angle. I've seen people play and it looks to be quite tricky especially when getting cornered.

One other thing: on Live (still to be rolled out in SA, but I'm using an international windows live account) Halo has no delay at all from this side even though I'm connecting to a US live server. UT3 on the other hand has a major 0.5 second delay when joining and when hosting the players complain about the same delay on there side. Wtf is up with that, aren?????????t there any proper midway UT3 servers available?

I couldn't stand the 3rd person view of GOW even when I wasn't playing it. I couldn't even stand watching my friends play it..., as for shooters, Battlefield2142 is the way to go for PC. (even though this is about 360 lol)

Gears of War is one of the greatest 360 games there is. If you don't like the camera, don't worry, you will get used to it within the first 5 minutes of playing!

Force Unleashed just came out last week. It's not the best game, but if you like grossly oversaturated powers, you'll love it.
