It is rumoured to be a rocket coaster of unknown size yet.

According to Screamscape:

http://www.screamscape.com/html/heide-park.htm

this will be a major thrill ride next to Collosos.

The evidence of construction work:

Agreed. But all of there cars have that similiar shape, so I doubt it would change that much.

Link doesn't work for me...

Anyways, very interesting... but is the rita-esque layout confirmed already? A user on onride.de posted the following in April:

"Hello, my german is not so good, so I'll post in English. Themepark.nl had a meeting in Heide Park this week and had an interview with the director. He released a hint and some news.

The new roller coaster will be taller than Colossos and he said you will get tears in yours eyes when your on the ride. In a positive way

The park is in conversation with a company to give the new ride a sponsor, like Silver Star that has Mercedes. When this stage is complete, the park will release more news in June of this year about the new roller coaster."

So there would've been big plan changes since then... However, I don't hope it will be tall, as it will take away much of Colossos' magic if that woodie isn't running over a wide open field anymore... This would be a lot worse if the neighbour was tall.

Someone in the onride.de forum suggested a Rita-Clone. Dont think so.

Might, or might not be. Hard to tell since these are just fan sites.

Real, just in case copying & pasting my posts from other sites (which is perfectly fine in this case), don't forget the actually interesting part, the "construction diary". That's the only I'd currently rely on (and not them fanboy's "rumors"), after all, piles of sand just can't lie...

Why do those links all show the EXACT rita layout, when the artwork shows something totally different to the rita layout? It doesnt make sense. Either the artwork is incredibly bad, and someones just drawn a few squiggles, or the layout is totally different. It wouldnt surprise me if it was the same as rita, Heide are owned by the same company as Alton i believe? Or they were when they were both owned by Tussauds. I dont know if they still are. Anyway, it also wouldnt surprise me because rita was actually planned for another park first and then the park pulled out. One of the parks people speculated that the ride was planned for was actually heide. Maybe they planned it, then came up with the aqua trax, pulled out, then didnt get planning permission, then didnt get planning permission for the hyper, so have gone back to the original?

^ bleh, I was looking at the construction forum earlier today, you got me all screwed up.[lol] But its all fixed now.

Anyways, reguardless of wether its a clone or not, it will be a good ride for local people to enjoy, although, I think the park would have benefitted from an original design.

duh, but I was sick of all the spam we've been getting lately, so I thought I would generate interest back into current coaster projects underway. If you can dig up some current construction pics, feel free to share.[;)]
