There's no way in hell this thing will be over 70mph, so that is just a blatant lie on their part if that's what they have said.

Is it even faster than the most obvious multi-launch contender?

It is already faster than Helix which was the fastest multi launch in Europe, but they have been testing it faster and I guess they realized they can make it the fastest in the world.

I meant Cheetah Hunt.

Helix is already faster than Cheetah Hunt. So I wonder which coaster we haven't thought of yet.

You know, I've never looked into what speed Cheetah Hunt actually does, and now that I have I am very surprised to see that it's less than Helix. With the big tower thing at the start of CH, I'd just made an assumption it was measurably faster than Helix, but obviously not.

It still would be crazy IMO if Taron was faster than either CH or Helix, because the layout just looks way too small to handle anything like that magnitude, and testing we've seen so far doesn't like like 60mph, let alone the 70mph we've been talking about.

Helix is IMO the evolved version of TusenFryd's Speed Monster! :)

Some great news for us local enthausiasts. Both Taron and Raik will not be included in the "Speedy Pass" system. So that means everyone will just have to queue up. It will have a single rides queue, so I guess I'll be using this a lot. :)

I skipped 60 minutes with Chiapas' single rider queue on a busy day! The Germans don't use them alot.

Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

^ awesome! 2nd photo: i spy a trim brake!

It's not exactly a trim. The last 2 airtime hills both have brakes on the down side of them in order to slow the train down a bit before it hits the brake run, which is very short, hence why they needed the extra brakes on the hills.

I imagine they are so you don't rest your legs on the car in front of you and have them break when the track curves upwards.

These pictures are just frickin' awesome. From the looks of it I've got to wait to ride this beast until I return from the states.
