New to making 3ds objects

on my first station I simply guessed the station's dimensions, except for it's length. I do not know how far apart to spread the gates for the cars or how wide the trough needs to be for some tracks, I simply guessed on my new intamin hyper and managed to get it almost perfect. Does anyone know the actual dimensions in meters? say, for a B&M Hyper....

you can get length and width of the track in NL simply by clicking on it. It displays the length of the track. To find the width, change your view to look at the track head on. Measure the distance with the grid dots and there you have the length and width requirements for your station. As far as gates, I just space as many as I need evenly along the station.
