For some reason wen i went to CP this year on Friday june 15 there were almost no lines for any coaster. The weather was perfect all day. we actually were going to go on the 11th but it was supposed to rain the whole day.

The first ride we went on was the millenium force which had a 1/2 hour wait which surprised the crap out of me because for the past 5 years ive been there, the lines were unbelievably long. throughout the day the lines went to 1/4 hour waits. The maverick went from a 45 min. wait to an hour. The craziest thing tho was the dragsters line. we got on the dragster twice in less than an hour, it even broke down for at least 10 min. usually when i go to cp the lines are all at least an hour long. only bad thin was the park was filled with gnats.
I think this is the first time ive gone in june. Is it usually like that in june?

Heres a list of rides we went on and how many times we got on.
TTD:3
Millenium force:3
Maverick:2
Raptor:1
Magnum:2
Skyhawk:1
Mean Streak:1

Fridays are normally good days at CP. Plus that looks like a basic schedule for a decent day at CP.

June is the best time in the summer to go. If you can make it to CP, late september and a week or so after park opens for season in may are the best times to go. Avoid July, stay inside that entire month, your lineage wont be aslong.

Yeah, CoasterCon XXX was not at Cedar Point this year EElover2. it was at Kings Island, Stricker's Grove, Holiday World & Splashin' Safari and Beech Bend Park.

The best I've done at CP is walk ons for MF and everything else and 5 minute waits for dragster.

Here's the reason there were no long lines. Gasoline prices. And don't worry, they are going higher.

I found out that the best time to go is mid sept. Keep in mind, the shorter the operating hours, the shorter the lines will be.. ;)

I went five years ago during Halloweekends. Excellent time for me. Walk-ons for all my favorites. Magnum, Raptor, Blue Streak, Gemini. And all my least favorites. Millennium Force, Mean Streak.

4-Skyrush | 5-Iron Rattler | 6-X2 | 7-Kingda Ka

Not sure. I am assuming horrible. I'll be at CP early August this year, so we'll see.

i went to halloweekends last year, the lines were the same as any other day around hour and a half waits for everything. It also rained which did not make the trip any better. Hopefully wen i go again this year it wont be as bad.

Well lines wont be good if they continue to operate like they have the last two visits.

My last visit in particular, on a Sunday even, the following broke down for more than 40 minutes:

MF
Raptor
Mav
Dragster

And Magnum had a 30 minute wait. That is NOT a good day.

Common Sense tells me June would be a great time to go. I don't know when schools get out over there in Ohio, but in Massachusetts they get out around June 15th or the following week. In other words, early June would mean that it would be at least half as crowded, especially if you go in the middle of the week. Obviously weekends during almost any time period would probably be busy with little exceptions. Sounds like you had a great time though.
