^*facepalm* That is what I classify as a severe embarrassment to the human race.
I happen to have a friend that once said after riding X2 that it flipped over " a million times and was like a thousand feet tall".

When I was at Magic Mountain on Saturday, I overheard this guy tellking his friend how Goliath is the biggest roller coaster and that 20 people have died on it. He also said that Viper has square wheels and that is why it's bumpy.

Honestly, I really miss being a member of the GP sometimes. Roller coasters were a lot more fun back in the days when I thought that some tunnels really could chop your hands off, and that people died on roller coasters all the time, and that going faster than a certain speed would be seriously dangerous. It's no fun now that I know I'm actually much safer riding the roller coaster than it was to drive my car to the park that morning.

Ignorance is bliss.

Anybody with a pair of working eyes can call bullshit on that one.

Let me clarify then. I didn't initially know that he was with his wife and step-son, and I didn't see him in line and leave when I entered. When he started hassling me, his wife called out to him to stop. I knew the kid was his step-son when he plead his case to the security guards saying that he was buying a soda for him. Plus, there are signs EVERYWHERE at Great Adventure saying that you cannot line jump for any reason, which includes but is not limited to leaving the line to buy drinks and return to your previous spot. I think my willingness to enforce a rule designed to promote good order, discipline, and common courtesy will make me go far in the service despite your sarcastic and hasty analysis.

Sounds like someone needs a life.

I had severals waiting in the line of Silverstar at EP but here's the best one:

Kiddy to his dad: I heard that they will place a 500ft loop after the first fall

Father: Oh that would be fun!

Me: how can a 240ft ride go up a 500ft loop?! oO

Kiddy:it will be shot with rubberbands!

Me: *facepalm*

Kids do have quite an imagination. I think it's great that the dad was playing into the child's creativity. We need to encourage children to be imaginative.

Conversation between my gf's older brother and me about SooperDooperLooper:

Brother: Does this go upside-down?

Me: No, it just has an inverted section of track called a "loop". [sillyme]

Here's some of the comments I heard while operating the coaster at LeSourdsville, Ohio.

"How people have been killed on this ride?"

"I used to be the STUNT RIDER on the Shooting Star at Coney Island. I'd ride on the running board of the train and do tricks."

"Is this ride safe?"

"Speed this thing up."

"If I step on the track will I get electrocuted?"

"How fast does this thing go?"

"Is this thing rotten?"

"Is this a portable ride?"

"How do I lock my lap bar?"

"Can we get three (3) people in one seat?"

As to that last question, that's why they got rid of the bench seat and put seat dividers so you could only get two people in one seat.

Load 'em up! Two in a seat!

Edit: I answered all their questions respectfully, knowing that they were curious and didn't know much about roller coasters. As to the STUNT RIDER I didn't say a thing. I knew he was just bragging.

I know this isn't about coasters, but it's really along the same lines of this topic.

I went to a party a couple of days ago and there was this girl (who was high as a love kite) who went up to my friend and started talking about the earthquake in Japan. I wasn't paying too much attention to what they were saying, but at one point she stood up and yelled, "The tsunami in Japan was 100 ft long and went 500 mph!"

Lol, I didn't want to be the douche to correct her.
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

I don't know if 500MPH is correct. I am pretty sure tsunamis move a lot faster than that, it took 15 mins. for a tsunami that was started in Alaska to get to Hawaii in 1964. NatGeo has a really cool doc about Tsunamis that I watched the other night on Netflix. Pretty scary how destructive and unpredictable they can be.

Like Tiger Terror being a top 10 coaster.

The following is why the entire site except for your emo friends collectively thinks you're a gigantic dumbass. It's either you showing your typical colors or you just being a gigantic troll since this seems too easy but then again you're an emo artist type so there is lots of potential for you to be incredibly stupid:

"Tsunamis travel approximately 475 mph in 15,000 feet of water"

As far as 100ft long comment, she probably misquoted a journalist (journalists misquote everything to being with because they're inherently stupid and that's why they're in journalism to begin with), misquoting a journalist is a common mistake. Journalist was probably talking about the period of the wave or something at a point, but regardless, whoever said that did better than most.
