Well, I havn't seen much on any Canadian parks in the trip report forum, so I decided to write this review of my trip to PCW from earlier in the year. And yes, it was my only trip to any themepark this year, sad I know :(

PCW is about 20 minutes down the freeway from me, so instead of wasting 20 bucks taking a bus, I decided to have my mom drop my gf and myself off at the park on her way to work. We arrived at the park about 2 hours before the park opened, so we decided to go eat breakfast (ew) at the McDonalds across the street.
So after we finished wasting and hour and a bit we walked back to the entrance to the park and proceded to get searched by the security guards before entering. For some reason the metal detectors kept going off when I walked through so I had to be frisked and strip searched! (ahah, joking on the strip search part :P)
By the time we got through security and walked through the park as far we could we only had to wait about 15 minutes for the rest of the park and rides to open up.
I must have been extremely lucky on this day! As we waited for the park to completly open up, I only saw about 200 people in the whole park waiting to venture inside!
Now that the park opened, it is onto the exciting part of this TR, the rides and coasters! :D
I don't know why, but everytime I visit PCW I always have a tradition of working my way counter clockwise through the park.
The first ride I road was Cliffhanger, which is a Mondial Splashover. This flat ride is lots of fun, and in the summer be prepared to get soaked! This ride is pretty much a TopSpin, but with 2 gondolas. I like the splashover because while you are spinning in your gondola, it sort of looks like the other gondola is going to smash right into your face while whipping around. Lots of fun! Thankfully, the water jets were not on that day ;)

After a few rides non-stop on Cliffhanger I walked a few feet and entered the queue line for Dragon Fire. This roller coaster is an old Arrow Custom Looper. It features 2 vertical loops and a double corkscrew followed by a helix. Despite the simplicity of this coaster, I actually find it to be quite fun (although while navigating the corkscrews it can be quite bumpy). What makes this coaster worth it, is that it hardly ever has a line. On this visit, I rode Dragon Fire 7 straight times without having to walkaround the exit! My next ride was NightMares which is a Huss UFO. This ride is alright, I only rode it once because if I ride it anymore than that I start to feel sick to my stomach which isn't good especially for what comes next!
This next ride is probably one of my favorites in the whole park. I absolutly love it. The ride is Drop Zone a 230 foot tall Intamin Drop Tower. With the lines being non-exsistant, I was able to ride this about 6 times straight before I had enough....tons of fun being droped like a rock to the ground and a great view to boot!

Next up is Wild Beast, one of the 3 woodies in the park which is similiar to Grizzly at PKD. The drop is fun on Wild Beast because of the slight twist near the bottom, but to be honest, I only rode this about 3 times because Wonderland doesn't seem to take very good care of their woodies, resulting in rough and non-exciting rides.

After walking just down the path, I hit my 3rd coaster of the day. A Vekoma Boomerang called The Bat. I enjoy this quite a bit (although I wouldn't wait very long for it) and with it being so old, it is actually quite smooth. With the lines being so short, I managed 5 rides straight.
(some pics of the bat - http://pcwjunkies.com/pcw/coasters/bat.htm)
After stumbling off The Bat I proceeded to the next flat ride, Shockwave, a Mondial Top Scan. From the ground, this ride looks really fun. However, I was let down big time :(. During my rides on it, it was running a very mild/tame program and my gondola only flipped 3 times! I feel jipped! Hopefully next time I visit the park this ride will offer some more thrills.
(some pics of Shockwave - http://pcwjunkies.com/pcw/flatrides/shockw.htm)
Just behind Shockwave was my 4th coaster of the day. The Fly is a great Wild Mouse by Mack with a very nice 50 foot first drop! Sadly, I was forced to get off after my first ride as a car was stopped midcourse due to some sort of mechanical failure. The people in the car had to be lowered from the track in a cherry picker. I'm glad it wasn't me sitting up there for 30 minutes.

Just down the path from The Fly lays the first 'big' coaster of the day and my 5th for the day. Vortex is an Arrow Suspended coaster. Despite alot of coaster fans saying Arrow Suspended coasters are boring, I have to disagree when it comes to Vortex. The ride starts off with a tip up onto the mountain in the center of PCW. From there you take a little dip and make a right hand turn...what lays ahead is awesome! If you sit in the front seat, the track infront of you just disapeers off the side of the mountain giving you nowhere to go but down! The ending of this coaster is just as neat as the beginning. It ends with a quick turn around just feet above the water. By this time it was nearing 11:30am and to my surprise, there was still a lack of people in the park, so I managed to get 10 straight rides on Vortex.

After my gf and I were down riding Vortex we decided to walk to the back of the park to check out the kiddie area, which looked like a ghost town with about 2 kids running like crazy between all the rides. We decided to skip the Action F/X Theatre as they were showing the old Days of Thunder movie which I have seen about 50 times.
Following our walk around the back of the park we came to the 6th coaster of the day. I can just picture all of you reading this taking a gasp as I say, the FUN Togo Standup, Skyride. Yes I do think this coaster is fun, lots of fun! It is not rough and as long as you ask the ride op to lower the bicycle seat so that it isn't protruding where it shouldn't be, the ride does not hurt at all. If you slightly 'jump' while going down the first drop and going over the hill into the helix you can experience tremendous amounts of airtime, absolutly lovely! Speaking of that helix, lots of g's going through that element, and then right back into another hill for some more airtime! Overall, a great ride IMO, and if you do visit PCW, do not fear the almighty Togo ahaha ;)
(some pics of Skyrider - http://pcwjunkies.com/pcw/coasters/skyr.htm)
Following my 6 rides on Skyrider, I ventured across the path for the 7th coaster of the day. This next coaster is the most painful ride I have ever been on. The Mighty Canadian MineBuster is an out and back woodie that will literally rattle your bones. I rode this once due to the amount of jackhammering the train does while navigating all the hills. It would be a decent ride if it wasn't so painful.
(pics of MCM - http://pcwjunkies.com/pcw/coasters/mcm.htm)
After riding MCM, I needed some recovery time so we stopped for some lunch lol. A nice big thing of fries! yum. After chowing down we headed towards Jet Scream, a Looping Starship. If you want to have kids in the future, I suggest you perform the tuck ;). Be prepared for some pain if you don't as the lapbar comes down hard! haha. Also be sure to bring the OTSR slowly as they are quite heavy and have little padding. Personally, I find this ride a painful with the old worn out restraints, but yet I always love riding it. Nothing much to say about it though, you go upside down, yay.
(pics of Jet Scream - http://pcwjunkies.com/pcw/flatrides/jetscr.htm)
Now, onto the newer ride section of the park! and some fun!
Whats next you ask? A Huss Jump 2, named SledgeHammer. This ride is pure fun. You sit in little multi-seat gondolas and are lifted way up into the air and then forced down to the ground mulitple times! The only thing I dislike about this ride is that the seats on the gondolas all face eachother. I think it would be much better if you were facing outwards.
(some pics of Sledgehammer - http://pcwjunkies.com/pcw/flatrides/sledgeh.htm)
Right beside Sledgehammer is Psyclone, a Mondial Revolution ride. This ride was also quite fun, but IMO it didn't quite spin high enough :(
(Psyclone pics - http://pcwjunkies.com/pcw/flatrides/psyclone.htm)
Next up was the new attraction for the year and the 8th coaster of the day. Tomb Raidera Zamperla Volare, or the hamster cage ride as I like to call it. I was thoroughly dissapointed with this ride...The ride starts off with you chasing the car down the station and then being locked inside what is literally a cage. Now the only cool part of the ride begins. You are pushed up a spiral lift tower followed by a small 'cool' drop/dip. After the dip it is pure whiplash. Whiping around hairpin turns inside of a cage just isn't fun! I rode this 3 times just because it was new. I probably won't ride it again unless there is absolutly no line.

Next up, Top Gun a Vekoma SLC :D. This is another coaster that most people seem to dislike for one reason or another, but I rather enjoy it. I guess it also helps that Top Gun is a rather 'smooth' Vekoma SLC. Nice speed, great elements and some nice foot chopper effects going into the barrel rolls. You might call me crazy, but I rode this 9 times in a row :D

After that we had about an hour to kill, so we made another round of the park and rode most of the rides again. I was so greatful that there were absolutly no lines that day. I guess with it being a gloomy day (looked like it was going to piss rain all day) and with students still being in school were two big reasons for the small crowds.
Some notes, we skipped some rides because they are just plain boring. For example Thunder Run and Klockwerks. I also didn't ride the Junior Vekoma Inverted coaster as it is just not very thrilling and I didn't ride the junior woodie as I can no longer fit my legs into the cars :(. We skipped Taxi Jam for obvious reasons ;) ahah.

I would also like to note that if parts of this TR has bad grammer or is completly out of wack and makes no sense it is because I am running on no sleep and lots of coffee heh. And crap, I think I wrote more than I wanted to lol

But overall, it was an amazing day, one of the best days I have had at any park due to the extremely short lines.
Thanks for reading.[8]

I don't go enough to get a season pass, and plus I wouldn't use it at all in the summer as pcw is rediculously crowded in the summer
