my god. a CAD program is used to make a high specificaton render of a final product and can take thousands of hours worth of work to complete.
why would you use it to draft rough designs.

the two programs that are used are:-

auto skech (for rough designs)
auto CAD (for final renders)

i work with both of these programs everyday so i should know.

Anyways, I don't understand how the Radeon graphics cards work.
is x850 their top of the line card? or is it thier x1800 or w/e?

x850 is the top ATi AGP 8x. The x1900 is currently or soon to be currently their top of the line card with 48 pixel pipelines. (mine only has 4 [:(]

the x1900 has 16 pixel pipelines like the x1800 and the x850XT but has 48 pixel shader processors and that boost performance and in higher details.
