I'm currently makeing a coaster and I was trying to get some parts of it in place when I noticed these multi-color dots on the ground. They seem to just randomly appear and disappear, is this a bug or something else?

I've personally never seen the dots. Might want to check your monitor.

Weird, you have a whole line of them going back????

Because of the colors, I'de be tempted to say a screen problem, but I really am no expert.

He's joking with the smoking thing.
Anyways, I see the dots as well, and if it were not something with NL, then they would have not appeared in the screen schot. But I don't know what causes it, nor have I seen it happen in my game. Maybe your computer is smoking something?[lol]

If you connect them it shows a picture of the NL source code.

if it was a screen problem it would only show up on your monitor, not in a screenshot here... unless you gave it to ALL our monitors..

is your card AGP or PCIe? i heard there's some problem with overloading on ATI AGP cards with colored dots but you said an x700 which shouldn't have any problem with it. weird.

Its not the driver, I fixed it yesterday by restarting no limits, haven't had the problem since.

Its PCI Express and I have the newest drivers.

But don't worry about it, its fixed.

I had posted this topic to see if this has ever happened to anyone, and I guess no one ever had this happen to them.
