Consider this,
Why is it that public schools can teach tolerance for Islam, but not for Christianity?
Why is it that in the name of acceptance, public school teachers will have their students read from the Qu'ran, but reading from the Bible would cause an uproar among the parents and general society?
Why is it that everyone tells us that Islam is a religion of peace when the Qu'ran itself tells Muslims that it is their duty to kill all infidels and non-believers?
Why is it that it was ok for a school in California to force their students to write prayers to Allah to help them "learn" about Islam, but if they were forced to write prayers to Jesus Christ everyone would be whining about how they were forcing their religion on the kids?
Why is it that even though the Beltway snipers were Muslim and defended themselves in court by quoting the Qu'ran and their call to jihad, no one in the news ever mentioned these facts?
Why is it that it is hidden whenever a Muslim commits a crime against Jews or Christians in the name of Islam (which is encouraged by their holy book) but when a crazy goes and blows up an abortion clinic it is emphasized that he is "Christian" (even though the Bible tells us specifically not to murder and condemns killing of any kind)?
Why is it that it was ok to search only whites when trying to oust the KKK or neo-Nazis, but it's not ok to look for Arabs or Muslim males when looking for terrorists? "100 percent of the successful terrorist attacks on commercial airlines for 20 years have been committed by Arabs. When there is a 100 percent chance, it ceases to be a profile. It's called a "description of the suspect."
Why is it that our government keeps getting verbally abused for taking down the outrageous, crooked, corrupt, and brutal Iraqi government? Do you remember those towers that used to be there in New York? Do you want that to happen again?
Why is it that in society today, Islam is promoted as a religion of peace only and no mention is made of the outrageous and terrifying teachings put forth in the Qu'ran, while Christianity is brutalized by politicians and the media, saying that it is bigoted, hateful, dangerous, and encourages division? I would like to remind you all that the main commandment put forth by Jesus Christ was "Love one another as I have loved you". This is not exclusive; this statement is meant to include all people of every race, creed, and religion. On the other hand, the Qu'ran says "Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their home: an evil fate" (Qu'ran 9:73).
Why is it that everytime Christianity is promoted as a religion of peace and acceptance, people bring up the Crusades as our holy war and tell us that that was worse? It was not. If you know correct history, the Crusades were not acts of unprovoked aggression by Europe against the Islamic world (as is taught in school), but a delayed response to centuries of Muslim aggression. In the meantime, the actual founder of the Muslim religion, Mohammed, led his troops to fight against those he didn't like, those who didn't accept them, and ordered the death of thousands. I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure no one can imagine Jesus saying those sorts of things.
Why is it that everyone is outraged at our war in Iraq (which is not intended to be religiously motivated, it just sort of happens that all the terrorists who want to attack our country are Muslim or Arab and come from the Middle East) but they seem to have overlooked that fact that in speeches made by Muslim leaders in the Middle East, they have declared war on the whole non-Muslim world, especially the United States?
Why is it that we overlook the fact that Muslims still have slaves? Women are their slaves. If you knew the half of what they do to those women and what they make the women do, you would say that blacks were probably better off before 1865 then these women are.
Why is it that we overlook the fact that it is a devout Muslim's job to make war on the infidels?
I'm sick and tired of the double standard. It is allowed for Islam to be taught in our schools, but Christianity is written off as bigoted and dangerous to society, when Christianity was the actual basis for our entire country. The Pilgrims were deeply Christian and they came to form a Christian community. All of our founding fathers were deeply Christian, yes including Thomas Jefferson. If you want to preach acceptance for all relgions and teach about different religions, then include Christianity. If you want to get religion out of the government and public schools, then don't make an exception for Islam. And get your facts straight on the Muslim religion before you start promoting it as a religion of peace.
What is your opinion?
