I myself have made much much better completely hand-made elements, zero-g rolls included, that were much closer to being perfect. Once I get my other comp, which has the track I'm talking about, hooked up I'll shoot it up to you guys. But until then, here is a screen of the ride.

The entrance to that roll actually looks kind of sharp and jagged. Mine is more flowing. The major problem with mine is that it's out of proportion because the top is too drawn out for it's size.

Yours is more flowing? Haha, you can ask Myriad to be the judge of that. I sent him this track back when I started making it. I thought he was gonna cream his jeans over it.

*Edit* Also, I have just a tad bit more experience in NoLimits than you do. Sorry to break it to ya, but my latest coaster scored 9.17 while yours only 7.17 Seems odd for you to be criticizing me, no?
Give it a rest man and take the constructive critisism you have been recieving as it is, constructive critisism! You're not a No Limits guy, not yet, take the advice given to you and you might get better. Bitch about it like you have and you'll get nowhere.

Bowser, are you kidding me? Yours is in no way even CLOSE to being as flowing, and it's due in part to being disproportionate. The proportions of your roll are in no way a valid excuse for it being rough. Iron Man's is butter smooth throughout the entire entry, roll, and exit, despite what your untrained eyes have lead you to believe.

By the way, B&M's probably aren't perfect. They come close, as any professional coaster designer should, but they aren't quite there yet. Perfection in this industry is pretty much impossible to acheive.

Just thought I'd reaqcuaint you with reality. [;)]

LMAO Bowserjoe! First let me digest the LAST thread you made, your going to give me a stomach ache with this one so soon! Yours isnt by any means flowing, each vertex can be felt with a thud, And the entrances would give you whiplash off the kazoo.... And last of all, Do NOTTTTTTTT mess with IronMans tracks... In my Opinion he is the best hand builder out there, along with McFly.

Well if I make such rough rides and bad transitions, then maybe I should make Arrow rides from now on?

Really? Or is that because you already assume its perfect because of their reputation? I assume thats it...why?

I remember a certain ride...Daemon.
http://www.rcdb.com/id2504.htm

The Immelman in that ride in no WAY looks correct. Same for the "Zero G" Roll. Its so small and so ridiculous in its relative size to what we are used too that its completely awkward looking.

Except I hear it rides beautifully. Then, the Zero G on Nemesis Inferno is really odd. The exit exits directly into a turn and is just a little funky...but still cool.

Keep working. Youll create what you think is a super sweet element, then, realize theres alot of room for improvement. Youll do it over, better, then realize the same thing. That will keep happening. Just dont get discouraged.

One problem I'm having is that it seems like I need to add more track pieces to my elements, but at the same time it seems like adding more pieces makes wierd kinks in the banking that you cannot fix.

You wont get weird kinks if your track segments have con roll ON and they are equal lengths (or close too) with handle lenghts for each vertex that are relatively close together in length as well. That creates smooth transitions.

It's just that when I add more vertices, it gets harder to control the shaping and keep the overall shape smooth. That's why I usually avoid having a rediculous amount of vertices on an element.

EDIT: One other question...how can I tell how long the segments are?

The NL toolbar is made up of several text fields: Cursor, Segment, and Vertex. Highlight the segment whose length you want to know and then look beside the word Segment on the toolbar. That will tell you the type of segment as well as its length.

Wow, chill. Its the internet. It also comes with a help file. I bet the amount of time you took to ask the question on here you could have looked into the help file.

And probably fount alot of other useful information.

Asking that question now already indeed gives a clear insight on your extremely perfectionist efforts. [xx(] [:D]

Thank you Real, for your encouragement. You're right, because I already have made better elements on my current B&M looper. The ride isn't perect, but it's better than my last, and as good as I can get it. I think I just don't have enough patience to create near perfect tracks, especially loopers.

I've been working on a dive loop for the past 2 weeks. That element is quite a bitch to nail on the head.[lol]

^UGH! I know what you mean! Dive loops are the biggest pain of anything IMO! What's really weird is that immelmans are much easier, yet they are the same thing only in reverse. Interesting.

^ i think that just means that you dont know how to design dive loops correctly then if immelmans are so easy for you
