I know how to merge tracks together to make dual stations, but I ehard you can use both stations and have them run on the same track. Does anyone knowhow to do this and would be willing to help me [|)]

You CAN NOT have a track go to a different station, the game will crash. Although i've never tried it, i suppose you could do it like one would in NL. Where the other station is actually the other station of the track, and the track is actually 2 tracks... idk. If you contact me on AIM, I'll try to help you through it, just make sure you save a lot[;)]

Really good idea! I don't think anyone's thought of this since the rct1 days!

Ha, not quite. This has been mentioned numerous times since 8cars came out for RCT2. No one has discovered a way to truly make a working dual station, and it's become a bit of a "legend" of sorts. [:)]

I have unlimited anyway[;)]

Anyway... try what I said, about the 2 stations with overalying tracks, it should work.

@ jcf1; Someone tried to do it with a log flume for rct1, in the good days of the beast trainer, however the game would crash whenever the cars went to the other station.

Ok so say I build it 40 ft. higher than the first layer, how much would I have to lower it with the 8 cars trainer? I just don't wanna screw it up and have to restart everything. I'll try it with my mini Kingda Ka. I'm currently making a park that could be in the exchange section once I'm done. It could be a while though. Thanks for all your help GRIM

Wow you are the dumbass. You try goin on there and makin sumthin 40 ft and lowering it by -45 on the 8 cars per trainer. It doesn't work you dumbass. You lower it by so many negative points and by -40 the damn thing would be underground! So don't go callin people dumb before checkin your stats retard. God everytime I try to be nice on here I have some f'ed up retard always ruining it.

a) i never called you or anyone a dumbass (though looking back at this post you made i think i should edit my previous one)

b) when did i say lower it by -45? i said lower it by the amount higher than it should be.

if you want it overlapping....and its 40 feet high, what should we lower it by? uh, 40 feet?

c) why are you so defensive in this? geez....is "retard" and "f'ed up retard" really necessary? i mean honestly, why be so harsh? i didnt insult your chain gang or john cena or anything. and calling people retards REALLY shows your character. i personally know many people who have mental defects, and it really pisses me off when people like you make fun of them by saying that word.

well isnt it obvious that if you have something 40 feet above something and you need to lower it you would use 40 foot? it just doesnt make sense as to how that is hard to understand. maybe there is something weird with rct? i dunno, havent played it in years, just seems REALLY obvious that if its 40 feet too high you lower it 40 foot, unless there is some kinda weird thing with rct, but if there is, its called guess and check cause i am sure there isnt some kinda formula to work with.

No, you are wrong. Why not make sure you are correct before making fun of someone else.

cgs4f; Lower it by 8 if you make it 40ft higher.

I think 8 Cars uses units instead of feet for it's "Height Offset (for Raise/Lower)" function, so that's probably the core of his question.

EDIT: Grim beat me to it...

Ok Ragan I'll say sumthin you won't hear often from me on here. I'm sorry. I can be offensive. Why? Because I didn't get the friendly treatment when I joined here. I made one post and got downgraded by at least 6 people. If you got a treatment like that I'm sure you wouldn't just let it slide.

No it is not possible. The train will merge onto the other track and what will happen is the train will go over to the other station not its own station. Next thing that will happen will be that the trains will overlap eachother causing a mess like so:

Image

Also, about the heighr situation:

5=1
10=2
15=3
20=4
25=5
30=6

and so on. Like a member mentioned earlier, you divide by 5.
