OK I bought NL just yesterday and I have so many questions to ask but right not I'll just leave it to a few.

To starts off:
I can build a coaster up to a lift. After that I get stuck because I can't get the drops the way I want them. For exaple if I want the drop to spiral smoothly how do you do that? Or if I want to drop to the left/right just EG.

Anyway I'm still working on creating stuff so the next creation that I will do will probably be in 2 months or more because I'm still confuzzled. LMAO

if you have just bought NL i suggest you start with straight drops, or launches, spirals and twisted drops can always be done when you're having NL more under control

Your question is so vague that it deserves a slap to your left ear. The same way you built to the lift is the same way you do your drops, by placing verticees (blue dots) and manipulating the handlebars to provide smoothness. However, since you have posted your question here, a 0.17 search on this site might help you as well by reading the articles written by people.

Finally: You could always Imagethat comes with NL.

XD I forgot about the damn articles Lol.

For a moment I thought coasters on NL were made with mathematics. [?] I guess it is simlar to SM lol..I'll stick with simple stuff for now but I'm still trying out drops.

Also, I have a few tips, work on track building, using formulas and programs, and supports before 3D scenery. And unlike SM, try to not build in 3d, and build in the side, and top views. The perceft starter coaster for builing in these views is a mini B&M hyper, no loops yet, just hills.

If you are going to start using Elementary, I would start with this article and commit it to memory ... print it out if you have to, but it will make your life much easier.

TConwell - Someone finally made a semi-tutorial for it?!?! I've been waiting for that, although a full tutorial would still help a LOT. Like Tyler's [I think?] scrapped E-book.

Well I've made up my mind. I'll be building a classic hybrid woodie.(Yeah it sounds weird) anyway I'll try my best to keep it as smooth as possible and try to keep it as good as possible. Anyway here I go..

^ Just realize it will take a very long time to get a smooth coaster. I've had NL for 2 years, and I still stink at it.

Every body struggles with nolimits to smooth out the track. The worst thing is if you try to build your own corkscrew, Zero G roll, cobra roll and B&M mixes of those maneuvers for the first time. It took me days to smooth those out and sometimes you crash and burn for instance ,you just got the track perfectly smooth and you test it in the simulator and suddenly [sillyme] the G ratings goes in the red, now that will make your day, for the worst I mean.

It doesn't take long if you AHG your track. But that is complicated and you probably need a tutorial.

AHG is making my head hurt right now..Grr I hate math.

Edit: I have questions, What does HSAK and Elementary do to your coaster?

They don't do anything TO a coaster. They just DO a coaster, if you get what I mean. HSAK is a formula, where you can put your own variables in. Elementary takes a look at those variables and the formula, and makes an element for your track. (HSAK makes helices)

I just tried out Elementary and wow is it awesome. Anyway I'm building a simple Eurofighter but I keep bumping into this problem. How do you Lock a node to keep it from moving. Like I want to move the the Control points but not the positioning node.
