Freaking n00bs .... search for the download on google if you cannot find the link -or- have not bothered to read one freaking thing that has been said on this or several other coaster sites about where to get it. Geesh.

I have a question. How do you get the really real looking water to work on the game. The kind thats really reflective and rippley. I can't figure out how to make it look like that on mine.

In the simulator menu, go to "Setup" then "Advanced" and change the water to "Complex". If you try that and it still doesn't work, then you need a more up-to-date graphics card to have the new water.

Has anyone tried making thier own car textures? They changed some/most the layouts so any coasters made in in versions 1.5 or below woun't work in 1.6.

I don't think they changed all textures, because Oxidation's still works properly.

OK, I was just seeing if anyone else noticed, all the tracks I have that have custom car textures don't work.

Edit: I checked the giga coaster textures still work but they added more detail in the new version (I think).

Any train type that was updated will have a new cartexure, it's a given.

Of course the custom cartextures that were made for any newly revised track style doesn't work, the trains are totally different in shape now.

For some reason, I can't use my mouse at all at the main Menu in NoLimits. I have to use the up and down arrows so when looking for some tracks, I can only use the ones that are at the top of the list. Anyone know why this would happen?

I think your too impatient then with loading the ride and pressing the sim button twice. So the mouse can't move since there's a 2nd version running too. Also having problems with low fps at that moment? [;)]

Fun is over for me! Remember when I said in the NL-tournament topic my PC crashes while riding woodies? Well, now it does the same when even riding steel coasters?! And this while my PC isn't outdated at all: P4 3,06 Ghz, ATI radeon 9800 XL.. Looks like Medion did a GREAT job configuring this pc, the bunch of **** [:(!] Ain't buying a PC from Aldi/medion anymore, I suppose.

Buh, I tried everything; installing new drivers, update BIOS, reinstall, nothing. I really want to play around with 1.6, but I won't buy a new PC for just 1 game [:(]

EDIT: does anyone know they changed something in the engine, then I know where the problem is?

The games engine didnt change...infact, I doubt its the game at this point. Could be a failing peice of hardware?

Need more info. When it crashes, whats the message (if any) you are getting? Are you running it with the SAME settings?

Do you have the latest version of DirectX? That could cause issues with the new water.

K thanks for the response, i've filmed the crashing:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rR84YYu6RT0

First; it works very well. I load up a track (w/o water). It does a pretty long time for loading the scenery, is this normal? Then, a sudden bluescreen pops up. I can't do anything but pushing the power button. The strange thing is: the button reacts immediately (push-shutdown).
When restarting everything goes slow, it lasted for 3,45 minutes till the login screen popped up!
I hope someone can help me with this [:)]

I noticed you had an ATI. Im sure you updated those drivers (Id hope so) and if you have updated everything else, email directly to Ole all of your system specs including a link to that video and such. Hell have the best idea what to do.

This definatly looks like a graphics issue. Could be something else...though, thats what it looks like to me

Ah the blue screen of death, I'm gauranteeing you it's a hardware issue. If it's not fixable by updating the drivers, than your hardware is either too low to run the simulator or it's unstable by means of being physically incapable or damaged.

What are the complete specs of the CPU, motherboard, VGA, memory?

-Any other apps crash like this or at all?
- Have you tried turning all of your settings to the absolute lowest they can go?

It could be hardware, my friend had a Medion and the graphics card fried after a year or 2.

Are there any changes in the actual physics calculations?? Because I loaded a 1.6 track (the Project Argon one) with NL 1.55 and I had a rollback on one of the hills that I'm sure doesn't show up for anyone using NL 1.6... I'm hesitant to rate coasters that are built with 1.6 if this is a common problem...
