I've created and edited several 3DS files in seperate programs known as Blender and Bryce. The problem is that when I import any files into NL that I have exported with Blender, I get an error message saying that NL doesn't recognize the files. However, I can view the 3DS files in any other program that can import 3DS files. This is obviously a problem with NL. Does anybody know how to fix this? Will 1.6 fix this (I have 1.55)?

Most 3d editors save the objects that you create in their own format. Take the object creator... its files are saved with the file extension ".ocobject". NoLimits only recognizes files with the extension ".3ds". In order to save in this format, most object editors have an "export to 3ds" option. Use that to save the object in the proper format, and then NL will recognize it. However, if you are saving the files in the proper format and the problem still persists, I don't know.

Of course I exported in 3DS format. If I didn't know how to do that, I wouldn't be using the 3D programs to start with. Their files are scene files anyway, not object files.

I did manage to mostly solve the problem. I realized that any 3DS object exported in Blender can't be imported into NL, so I exported in a different file format (Wavefront .obj) and then imported it, textured it, and then exported it to .3DS with Bryce. This works, but now the objects have no textures.
