Vote who you would like to run for president in November 2008 for the republican party! Let's see how close we can get to the actual results.

Rudy is the only pro-gay Republican... hell, he's the only Republican candidate who's not openly ANTI-gay.

It's 2008, people. Bigotry is stupid.

I could care less about the whole gay thing ... seriously ... it makes no difference to me because there are no candidates who are gay, so this is a non-issue really. Those who make it an issue are the ones concerned with ensuring their voice is heard.

I hear you mini -- and I cannot change the entire opinion of a nation, only state my own. I tell you now in front of anyone who reads this: You are welcome in my home and my church any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Period.

As far as who will I support?

Primarily because of all the issues, he lines up closest with my own views on this nation. And even though is he is not a staunch supporter of the whole gay marriage thing, that is merely one issue of ALL combined. I am more concerned about a front runner who is not able to say the Pledge of Allegiance and pay proper respect to the US Flag getting elected and calling himself the Commander in Chief. (cough cough)

Well, seeing as I'm a libertarian and avid reader of the likes of Thomas Jefferson, I think my answer is obvious: Ron Paul by a very wide margin.

Just on the issues of our tanking fiat currency and self-destructive overseas policies alone, he ought to stand out as the only candidate worth voting for, but that is just my personal opinion, naturally. I am glad to see some of the American public waking up to my principles in this election cycle, but I fear that it's still not enough to save the country in the long run... *sigh* politics are a difficult topic, but the numbers don't lie.

If I was a Republican I would vote for John McCain.

tconwell, just because he shares your same views as you doesn't mean he is the best President for everyone. Just means he would run it like you would and well I'd rather have Obama win in that case [lol]

I definitely don't agree with you're views TConwell, but I do think that people should pick their candidates based on what they believe, not just who the rest of the country would elect. If, everyone votes based on who is most electable, then everyone ends up with someone they didn't really want in office. If you vote for who you really agree with and they don't win, then you can at least say you tried.

By the way, this is why Mike Huckabee scares me:

The man is such an amazing public speaker that he is able to engage people and make them agree with him simply because of the fact that he sounds like he knows what he's talking about. Ron Paul seems like the only Republican who really understands how to handle the Middle East.

I never said he was the best for everyone, I just shared my own opinion of how I felt -- which according to how you run this place, is highly encouraged. Was I wrong? [dunno]

Guitarplayer:

1. What are my views that you don't agree with? I cannot remember ever listing them for you to debate, or disagree with. I just love how people assume to know everything about me, it really brings out the idiot in one's personality (CLICK ME).

2. I wonder if the person who EDITED that video has anything feelings towards voting, oh I don't know ... Democratic? What a moron -- and using that as a source to make your point? Well, it might as well have been you that created that video.

3. As far as being able to speak ... uhhhhhh ... that's sort of part of the requirement to even think about being involved in public service. If you cannot communicate, how can you lead?

Ok I'll say I disagree with Huckabee's views then, but I was agreeing with you in regards to what WWS said. I think everyone should vote for the candidate that represents their views best.

Well then, in that case tconwell, he is best for your interests and yours alone and my candidate is best for mine and mine alone is what's you're saying now?

Isn't it great WWS? We all get to vote our own conscience ... it's almost like a democracy. [lol]

Fair enough Guitarplayer ... fair enough indeed. [:D]

They do have two things in common. Their both friendly to gays compaired to the others who, on that issue, are similar to bush and they are not screaming at the top of their lungs about the "evils" of abortion to distract voters from societies problems.
