I wasn't speaking to anyone specifically, not even to anyone in this thread, but just sharing my thoughts generally speaking.

So the prerequisite for buying this product to already have shelled out too much money for another one of their products? Interestingly dumb.

So does anyone own the regular macbook? I was actually thinking about getting one of those. It runs faster and probally does a lot more for $800 dollars less. But then again, we went into the apple store yesterday and all they tried to sell me was the new air. I was telling them I was more interested in the reqular macbook but they didnt listen, they continued to try and convince me to spend the money on the air.

[lol][lol][lol] "macsterbate" is one of the funniest words ive ever heard... i just hope that you purposely spelled it like that, not just spelled the real word wrong! [:D]

wow this is DEFINATELY one of the best topics in a while... so many funny posts [lol]

as for my opinion...
the macbook air is an overpriced piece of junk...
1. they lied to everyone about it being the worlds thinnest
2. it doesnt have a freakin CD drive (which i use ALL the time on my HP to import music into iTunes)
3. ITS A MAC FOR CRYIN OUT LOUD!!!!! [:(!]
-really the only apple product i support is the iPod/iPhone.
-their computers are harder to use (IMO) than windows and there's not as much programs for macs. plus the programs for macs are more expensive
-apples are WAYY more expensive than other companies plus their not that much better
-im especially ticked off @ iTunes because now you cant buy the new release movies... what moron thought of the "renting" idea?! you pay $5, have 24 hrs to watch the movie, then it disappears??? [confused][:O] i SERIOUSLY hope someone comes up /w/ a hacking program to disable the auto-disappear thing... THAT would be awesome *ITUNES MOVIES -- NOW ONLY $5 INSTEAD OF $15!!!*[;)]

overall, i think apple is just a bunch of greedy a-holes that want to steal all your money by brainwashing you that their products are better than windows... apple SUCKS and steve jobs can go suck bill gates' you-know-what[r][:p][xx(]!!! no offense to anyone but you pretty much have to be stupid to choose mac over windows for normal, everyday stuff... [stoning]now if you need to use a program for your job that only works with mac (example: garageband) then i understand that. (garageband is actually pretty cool. i hope they come out /w/ a version for windows) but for doing things like schoolwork, games, and internet, windows is SOO much better! plus internet explorer works better than firefox/safari [approve]

anyway, my rant is over... [blah][;)] im done bashing apple[sillyme]

Oh boy least it has that backlit keyboard. Without that I think it would be worthless.

Oh well, maybe people will wake up someday that Apple has its moments of supreme stupidity along with Microsoft.

The larger the computer company you're the easier it is to screw up. Case and point the number of security flaws Apple has been covering up recently without notifying anyone.

My brother has one. It runs fast and has a decent graphics card. Hasn't given him any problems yet.

I don't really think it's even being marketed toward Americans, I think it will sell very well in Asian countries, they don't really have that much space and the streets are crowded, I'm sure they'd appreciate any amount of space saving possible. I would have basically no use for it as I burn DVDs a lot.

It'd be pointless for me but I can see why a business person would want it.

I'd get a Macbook Pro if I had the money.

Correction. Only rich spoiled retards that don't know what a complete system looks like and how cheap it should be.
