I thinks it's a really cool idea and will be a very successful web browser, since Google is a good company and almost all of their products are successful.

What are your opinions?

I'm sure it will be good, and I'll be one to try it out.

Cool. I hadn't heard about it until now (when I read the thread title I thought it was a new skin for the Google homepage or something [sillyme]), but from the comic it looks like it'll work great. I love Google's products, and hopefully this won't be an exception.

I'm using it at the moment, and I really like it so far. It's clean, smooth, and opens up much faster than IE or FF. I'm not sure how long I'll be using the beta though, since I've been spoiled with having an adblock add-on in FF for so long, and I'm not even sure if Chrome will integrate add-ons as well as FF.

I must admit that i really do like chrome, for the same reasons SMer does

(this is NOT a dig at safari), i know Chrome uses webkit, and im surprised that it renders on very nicely, as i dont like the way Safari renders.

Unfortunately this launch build dosnt support java, so there goes using facebook and stuff

but im defiantly looking forward to using it in the future, hopefully with some addons, i realized how much i do miss my FF addons (like googlepedia) when i was using Chrome

Webkit is a rendering engine, they render EXACTLY the same way, Casper. It's using the rendering engine from Safari 3.1, the exact same one. Safari follows web standards better than any other browser in existence, and Safari 4, the dev preview completely passes the Acid 3 web standards test. Neither FF3, Chrome, IE or Opera pass that.

I liked it the whole first night I had it, it was clean and quick.. However the second day it crashed 3 different times. All three times I was watching a flash video, so I figure it is having problems with those. Whatever the cause, it is just a beta and I'm sure the issue will be fixed by the time the first real version comes out.

I uninstalled it today, but I must say I was impressed considering it is just a beta and their first attempt at a browser.
