This is a copy that I posted on Myspace:

"Friday was probably the biggest bump I've ever had in my road and will be for at least a few more weeks. This is a long bulletin, but if you care about me, I suggest you read it.

Me, Tiffany, Derrick, And Ayleashua were planning to skip on Friday and go up to Hagerstown to hangout. Ayleashua had to at least go to 1st period to get counted for.

So we had it all planned out to the last detail from food to school security. The only thing we missed was the school cop, which turned out to be the downfall of the day.

I woke up at 5am on Friday and was over Tiffany's at 6:22am. We all got together and hungout until 8:10am. We then left and got gas at the 7-Eleven. I also bought a cigar to try. We headed over to the school to get Ayleashua, and I drove by since the bell hasn't rang yet for 1st period to end. I turned around in a community and saw a cop car heading our way.

He pulled up beside me and started asking questions. He pulled us all out of the car and found the cigar and found a knife on me. I had the decensy to tell him I had it on me and was being honest with him. He kept asking if there was [CENSORED WORD] in the car and I answered no everytime because I would NEVER have that on me or have friends with me with it in their pocession.

He let Tiffany walk home, took Derrick in his car, and told me to follow him to the school in my car. Everyone had different stories about what was going on, but mine was the truth and somehow I get charged with conspiracy (lying to a police officer).

After at least an hour of getting the stories from everyone, I got charged with 3 different things, most of which I'm still unaware of. I was to sit in ISS for the rest of the day while they figured out what they were going to do.

I don't care if you're my best friend or a friend whom we pick on each other about stuff, this is a really stressful and worryful time for me right now. I'm really upset and worried about what's going to happen when I go to court.

So please just take it easy on me the next few weeks while things kinda settle down and I see what happens. My best friend works with a lot of law enforcement and such and doubts I'll get any jailtime out of it, but the school's worried I will."

Derrick lied about his name when the cop asked him the first time and didn't even mention about him lying. The cop also didn't find anything on my phone relating to me going to the school to pick anyone else up either that Derrick lied about.

I wanted to get your opinions on this. I'm scared and worried [V]

That sucks. If you have no prior records you should be safe.

wait a minute, what have you done wrong again? skipping school, having a cigar and knife and being "suspected" of lying to a police officer is enough for you to get jailtime? I think not somehow. I wouldn't worry about it, if it is that you are telling the truth, then you shouldn't really have anything to worry about.

On the other hand, if you hadn't pissed about instead of going to school, you wouldn't be in the situation so I wouldn't expect too much sympathy if I were you.

You're lucky the didn't confiscate your car for having drugs in it even if they did not belong to you. In Cali my neighbor had his car confiscated for having a nick sack in it, and he is still making thepayments on it [lol]

That's a tough situation to be in, considering that you hardly did anything wrong. Also, it sounds as though Derrick is an idiot. My best advice when dealing with the law is to keep everything painfully simple and straightforward; I've always experienced a technical communication gap with the police or just administration in general. If you just hammer home the point that you were cooperative, everything ought to turn out just fine. However, if I were in your position I would be all over them about presenting the other charges...

Hang in there and do your best to jump through the hoops. From your account, I can't imagine you'll face anything too serious.

you'll probably get a detention or, if worse comes to worse, a suspension. but definitely not jail time. you didn't even get arrested.

sorry but i would agree with what gouldy said here.

you got really unlucky with the way you were caught but skipping school, buying a cigar and having a knife on you you were asking for trouble.

however i would also say this in nonway warrents you jailtime id say youll get a slap on the wrist and nothing more

Yeah I don't see why you would be looking at jail time at all. Why would you get in trouble for having a cigar though? Weren't you stopped off of school property?

Yea I never drove onto school property or was stopped on school property. I'm not sure why he made a big deal about the cigar. I was old enough to buy it at the 7-Eleven just 7 minutes before getting pulled over. I didn't even open the wrapper on it. I told the cop I had it and he saw it, opened it, and thought I had pot in the car and I didn't

You should rethink your friendship with Derrick. It is fun to have a stupid friend along but it's not fun to have a stupid friend get you deeper in trouble.

What I'm trying to figure out here was the probable cause for searching you. I've known plenty of people in high school who don't have a first or a second period, so it would seem strange to me as to why someone would get pulled over for driving in a local neighborhood.

I wish I knew as well. I did have a cigar that wasn't even open and a pack of cigarettes that was still in the wrapper. I don't even smoke lol

You definatly won't see jailtime for skipping some school. [lol]

Just tell whoever you need to tell the truth and just live with it. If your 'friends' decide to take the low road out of the situation then just forget about them and maybe take a dump on their front doorstep.

After at least an hour of getting the stories from everyone, I got charged with 3 different things, most of which I'm still unaware of.

Does this mean you arn't sure what you were charged with? If it was me, I wouldn't leave the place until I understood exactly what was going to happen.

He searched you because you were a car full of teenagers turning around awkwardly and driving suspiciously in a community. He unwrapped your cigar because he thought you had pot in it.
"Careful man, there's a beverage here!"

^ bingo... teens are a stereotype for causing trouble. If you're between 13 and 20, you bet your ass a cop is gonna think suspiciously of you. Even if you're doing nothing. Just because you are a teen.

Yea and because there was a 14 year old in the front seat and a 17 year old dropout in the backseat, the only 18 year old being the driver gets the worst of it lol

^ ya well don't feel bad about having stupid friends, i can easily say that i have a few. (cough * jensenator * cough) ... the best thing you can do is just enjoy it. I guarantee you, 20 years from now, you'll look back and laugh at how stupid this whole incident was.

Isn't a cop pulling you over because you're a suspicious group of teens profiling? I didn't think that was okay to do but whatever.

Now you gotta live with it. Next time you slip school, don't get caught. If your friend has to be in school on a day that you wanna bring with, go a different day or don't bring them. It's not worth trying to get them out of school, getting caught, and now worrying about 'serving jailtime'?? (which you won't by the way...)

IF YOU HAD STAYED IN SCHOOL THIS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED!
conme on , what the hell is wrong with you. your last post was "WHAAAAA people are(hopefully)gonna pick on me at home coming", now it's "the police profiled me".. get over yourself.. you arent that important. keep trying though, maybe if you try really hard you can become the "victim" you've always wanted to be

this is funny.

i've had my share of troubles with the law, and i must say, you guys are stupid, atleast, street stupid.

A) when you have something you probably shouldn't have, hide it between seat and middle gearbox/ drink holder area and let it go to the floor. cops can't see that area unless they get their head inside the floor of your car, ie, you wont get caught with it.

B) you get your story straight. whatever someone says at the beginning, you back that up, no matter how stupid that sounds. although you need to work ahead to figure out what you're going to say.

C) you don't confess to poop. unless he actually saw you, and you know they saw you, you don't confess to anything. you don't tell them, oh yeah, btw, i have a knife and a nickle bag and un-unregistered gun on you, you don't say, here you go officer.

basically, its your fault. the worst you'll get is MIP if you're under 18, and unless we're talking about a 6 inch hunting knife here, nothing on that. and you'll get 1 to 3 days of ISS for not being at school when supposed to.

you're plan in general makes no sense what so ever. why don't you just chill a block or two away waiting to pick your friend up? and if you don't really care, just pick your friend up in the school when its time to pick them up.

anyways, you'll get iss. you deserve it for not being intelligent enough to get away with it. maybe you can think of a better plan while in iss.
