Has anyone seen Religulous yet? Very inspirational, and believable documentary in my opinion. Not to offend anybody. I'm barely on this site anymore, so i probably wont read or care about an argument.

yeah, more and more things, like that documentary for instance, keep making me lean more and more to thinking there is no god. not just cause of those types of things, but because i have always had my doubts anyways. to me, church just seems to be a cult that gives people a false hope, something to look forward to after death. hey, i think you probably just rot in a damn ditch. im comfortable with that thought to. now even though im really started to not believe in a so called "god" or "higher being" i do not in any way try to change people thoughts about what they believe in or think happens. i respect everyones opinion and they all have a right to believe what they do. but when your as stupid, and closed minded as this... kid, i cant help but speak up. you need to shut your mouth, your digging yourself deeper into a damn hole. your basically already in hell yourself. congrats!!![:D]

i'll be the one to point out that paul, not christ was the only one in the NEW TESTAMENT ( you know .. the NEW contract god made with humanity where god decided it was kinda lame to punish people for sins he made them practically incapable of resisting because of the inherent ability to reason that god granted them) that ever may have refered to homosexuality , and then theres that thing with peter's dream.. how do you know there weren't a bunch of gay party boys in that net and the people compiling the bible decided to leave that out?? bacon was a damnable offense , per the old testement,( a few verses before homosexerality) but according to the new testement the crucifixion of christ was what made any debts that those sins may incur null... just saying .. i'm not even a "christian" and i'm calling fail on your "witnessing to people"

God said in Genisis 9:3-4 that all animals where put hear to eat, exept for the ones of your own flesh and blood(humans)

Ok now this is one of my huge problems with religion. When people see an afterlife as more important than what is happening here and now, it's hard to convince them that there are actually real concerns with our environment happening right now. I really think that the "drill baby drill" mentality comes completely from the fact that these people have no concern in their lives other than being good to god and securing a spot for themselves in heaven. [sarcasm]After all, who cares what we do with the world that is in front of our eyes if we can spend eternity in heaven, right? [/sarcasm] Ugh, this stuff makes me sick.

see. you blew it there.. you're argument that got thinks homosexuality is an abomination comes from the same part of the bible that says that shell fish, rabbit , pork of course, and lots of other food is an abomination not to mention being near a woman while shes "on" ( i actually like that one ) .. it wasnt untill after christ had been killed and the first missionaries were out and about that god came to peter in a dream and announced that all the old abomination stuff was ok.. not in genesis.( ok now that i think of it gebnesis 9 is after the tower of babel and befor noahs flood.. so you'd get me there if i hadnt remembered) in the first few books of genesis ( untill the "fall" ) eating anything was cool, because the only sin was eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, a metaphor for innocence .. in that "ignorance of the law" WAS an excuse .. so to speak .. becuase untill adam accepted the fruit from his ol lady there rally werent any laws because there wasnt anything else forbidden

another point of note..a christian believes that the new testement makes most of the old testement laws void .. does it not? (barring of course the 10 commandments, but still breaking these appaerntly wont keep you from being "saved" ala ted bundy) if i were you id be concentrating on the message of gods grace rather than what pisses him off..

You are calling people names like "loonies" and "crap-spewers," and your language is very self-serving in an "I'm RIGHT, you're WRONG!" manner. I'm also sensing some potential anger issues.

Please, brother, learn humility and self-control. I encourage you to heed the wise words of the apostle Paul. These are the fruits of the Spirit. This is how we are supposed to conduct ourselves. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; against such things there is no law." [Galatians 5:22-23]

And here is another verse that was a big personal inspiration to me. It convinced me to stop persecuting and convicting non-believers of their immorality, and rather focus on cleansing the Body of Christ itself, so that rather than feeling threatened, non-believers could see our un-natural love and dedication, and come to glorify our Father who is in heaven rather than laugh at us for our hypocrisy. I encourage you to do the same.

I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters, for then you would have to go out of this world. I'd rather be in Hell than in Heaven.. it's ridiculously hot in heaven, people are lame and boring as opposed to the very interesting world-changing dictators in hell and, most of all, there's nothing to f**k in heaven either. Now I would not survive.. let's say.. 500.000 years without that.
