Well we've established that they ignore the Holocaust, have rapper bling with body parts of saints in them, and practice cannibalism.

you mean like they don't light all those candles and stuff.... and they arent the ones that do that hand waving over the baby , and like they dont feed the poor, like father joe, here in san diego .. you mean ALLL of them are ALWAYS raping altar boys? .how do they eat .. how is it they can eat and .. oh wait .. how do they pee if they are always raping altar boys? well golly .. thats a good reason not to be interested ..

Ahh, well, this would be a great idea if it were not a contradiction of itself and impossible to do.
See, faith is having a strong conviction that doesnt have physical proof (at least the faith you are referring too). Hope, while different is similar in the context you are using but well leave it alone for the sake of being simple.
Proof, or, fact is evidence sufficient to establish a thing as true, or to produce belief in its truth.
See, when you have faith its because you believe without physical proof or however you want to word it, its belief without the facts. You cannot have faith in something thats already true. If something is already true, no faith is needed at that point and having faith in something thats true is...pointless?
I heard a teaching where the speaker used this analogy:
He reached in his pockets and then with fists clenched, held them out to the people and asked a simple question. Does anyone here think I have a 20 dollar bill in either of my hands? No one raised a hand till one man. He asked the man why he believed and he said "You look like an honest man" to which the people laughed, so did he and he then replied "I am now going to ruin your faith." And he opened his hand and revealed a 20 dollar bill. He stated "See, before you knew it was there, you had faith it was. But once you saw with your own eyes, that faith was turned into fact. And thus, is not faith at all.
So really, its a pretty thing to say to have faith in things you can see or feel or are fact, but thats just knowledge. Its not faith at all.
So your theology is a little off with that.

I am in no way "angered" by your opinion. I was saying that instead of saying how you disapprove of the religion, this topic is for understanding catholicism and giving information about it. So be gone... [flush]
