I think you should take some advice from CJD about growing a little humility and stopping where you are before you get totally owned. Seriously. Once you learn that your fire for God can have a dimmer knob on it vice always reaching for the blowtorch ... you will see that others might actually listen to you.

man, what I realised while I was rereading this is that some of ya'll are looking at the casual Christians views and perspectives which I do not believe in, I go by the Bible and not Joel osteen's version!

Listen, are you even reading the words of the other believers here who are telling you to shut up? There are folks here who have about 2 million times the amount of discernment that you have and yet you cannot stop your diarrhea of the mouth. Seriously, you need to chill.

Oscar: I know I don't normally (ever) ask this -- but do you think this guy could get a temporary ban to allow him time to think about the err of his ways? Please? This guy is seriously trampling other believers who have worked for years (that's right 19121/JersusFreak2012 ... the KJV is really good, and pretty much all Bibles mean the same thing but worded differently so you can understand it, and impluss you can get copies of the original greek,hebrew,and aramaic and I know people who have learened those languages just for that poupouse
but there are people (joel osteen and others) who twist the Bible to be what they want and like, those are who we call casual christians

Well, my friend, its one thing to come into a space and attack unbelievers, but, now to attack the very core of what I believe and where I get my information - thats pretty bold. Its also pretty foolish.

BTW - when you say you go "By the Bible" its yet another sign of your immaturity. See, no one can say that just "go by the bible" or "I teach just the text" etc, etc. Its NOT possible.

Everything you read, think, process and then speak is influenced by your worldview first. The way you see the world determines how and what you speak. Secondly, theres your upbringing. However you were brought up WILL influence your INTERPRETATION of the bible.


No one can claim to "just preach the Word" and not first understand its their INTERPRETATION based on THEIR world views and other influences. Certain things will have more or less meaning to you than others because of this. Infact, the very way you read it will be influenced. What you see may not be what another sees.

Taken from the ESV - one of the best literal translations of the Bible. Not your Message crap or even NIV. The KJV isnt even a literal translation - its more interprative.
