I have come after you or something Jay? Im pretty sure Ive taken more of an "attack" mode against people who claim to be christian than those who dont.

Im mostly suprised because Im NOT the type to tell people how to believe or what to believe - unless they claim to be part of the Church and really have things skewed. If you dont claim to be part of the Church, Im ok with that. Everyone makes their own choices in life and I respect that.

the "you" i was refering to was the topic starter .. soooo sorry. really a good example of why paragraph structure is so important ..

relient k (and "christian rock" in general except larry norman of course ..) is a musical sugar substitute for the artistically diebetic ...

Theres enough "infected" within the Church that the last thing I need to spend energy and time on is trying to fix how people think of me or the Church individually. They can watch me (though not perfect) and make up their own minds.

Like CKW. Im not out to make him think any way, Im intrigued more or less because I think he represents a large cross section of the world. His views are no different than so many out there - and neither is his angst either. So Im intrigued and I like to hear people like that.

I have a bigger problem with those inside the Church and I think we do too little to cleanse the Church and keep the people inside in some sort of line. And then we get people like the Westboro Baptists pyschos.

them westboro baptist people are a red herring disguised as christianity.
part of me thinks that anti christian people put them up to this to say "see????? christians are bad "
another part of me thinks that the religious right put them up to it to say "see.. we arent THIS bad"
all of me thinks they are assholes..

Yea, Im sure a lot of Christians do use them as a scape goat for their own inquities. But thats part of the gig unfortunatly. I wouldnt say I am perfect or any church, but, as most people know, those crazies are beyond measure. I cant even think of the right terms.

Their site uses an upside down flag for its site icon. Im really suprised that some random crazy person has not bombed that church. Or Arsen. Which, if I worked on that Fire Dept., I think I might respond - but pulling them out I might not be so careful. Ill save you, but, your church is burning. Id definitly call for a "Defensive Fire" after a Search and Rescue and then let the thing torch - completely.

I have to have compassion for human life, just how I am. But, I do think Id drag em over some loose, hot embers or a few rust nails for good measure LOL haha...hope that doesnt make me a bad person.

You're messing things up now.
The guy who died on that cross in Jerusalem was Jesus and some say he was god's son.
God himself however was killed by a German called Nietzsche in 1882 and then again in 1885. Hope this helps.

Please dont tempt me. LOL I went to their site, laughed my butt off then felt quite sorry for them. I started to tell my girlfriend and she was like "please dont tell me about them. Everytime I hear about them I just wanna drive to wherever they are and go absolutely nuts" haha.

I have restraint, sadly. If I didnt, Id end up looking like them.

But hey, maybe someone will drop some literal hot coals on their heads. Would make a good YouTube video!

I am actually kind of interested to see how you would reply to that, though.

Let's hear it 19121, please educate us please on Mac's questions regarding the (few) verses chosen.

19121 ... I am still waiting ... and don't tell me your internet shut off you lying 17-year old. You opened the door, now walk through it like a man and bring forth your vast experience.

As info, I am taking a class right now in Seminary on Hebraic Law and it is very challenging, so I am hoping your wisdom can bring to me personally, enlightenment. Hopefully though, you will take the time to spell check because words misspelled while dealing in Hebrew have a totally different meaning. And oh, don't bother using Google or Wikipedia (for that is someone else's work) ... I want to hear your personal answers and translations of such pieces of scripture, most especially the influence they have had on the composition of the Torah and application to today's believer. Thank you.

I will give you a summary of what I was saying earlier. You can have slaves but you have to treat them right, today we call them paid workers.
the shellfish thing only proves God's intelligence more the hoofed animals that you can't eat are pigs, hogs etc. and in that time they didn't know those things had tapeworms and so they wouldn't cook them right to get the tapeworms out and the scale less finless things are mostly scavengers that can sometimes get diseases from the corpses and so God was trying to save you from desiese and being unclean, and about the murdering of people, that doesn't need to be done anymore because Jesus died so we didn't have to, also the reason you cant approach the altar when you have a sight imperfection is meant to be like when they say take the spec out of your eye and stuff, so basically you can't go up to the alter without praying and asking forgiveness, another way God was smart with the field thing, God sais in the Bible not to mingle the plants within the field, witch now we know would deplete the nutrients and now we rotate the plants to keep them from dying. Footballs are made out of leather and sometimes synthetic leather not dead pig skin so you can play football without gloves. but again dead pigs held diseases so he was saving you from death! back then people used to shave their heads and cut themselves while they where mourning for someone?????????s death and back then the heathens used to cut their hair like described is a sin in Leviticus which would basically tell everyone that they where a pagan.

Well -- in a manner of speaking not really because I now know for certain what I am dealing with. Your answers are strictly rudimentary and show a very basic level of knowledge of the OT, most likened to that of someone who attends Sunday School regularly or perhaps has recently delved into some form of (elementary) discipleship. The relationships that you have displayed here amongst the "people back then" and today is lacking foundational merit, but for a youth group discussion I presume they will suffice.

And so, I give you what I said to you pages and pages ago.

Listen kid, I am Licensed and Ordained into the ministry (http://hisbreadoflife.com/about.html) and I have served as the Senior Pastor of a church for 3 years ...... who just happens to love roller coasters. I think you should take some advice from CJD about growing a little humility and stopping where you are before you get totally owned. Seriously. Once you learn that your fire for God can have a dimmer knob on it vice always reaching for the blowtorch ... you will see that others might actually listen to you.

Proverbs 18:12, "Before his downfall a man's heart is proud, but humility comes before honor."
