Every day I am less and less surprised by the way we treat one another. What is really cracking my skull today is the witch-hunt that is underway against Carrie Prejean because she spoke her mind and answered the whole ??????traditional marriage?????? question honestly. Now, the ??????dirt?????? (I am speaking directly to the one who has raised it) has risen to surface and continues to attempt to tear this lady down.

So, she posed for a few pictures as a young wanna-be model (see: http://tinyurl.com/cha242). Now, let me be clear and say that I cannot say I approve of the action, but it??????s over and done with and who am I to judge anyone? Should she have disclosed that fact to the California committee on her application? Of course ?????? so let??????s slap the wrist and move on. But today there is a media whirlwind which has every news station broadcasting live updates from this "committee" that is meeting to determine if she keeps her crown awarded in California. Seriously, is this really breaking news? Or, is this particular nonsense more backlash from her answer to traditional marriage during the Miss USA Pageant? It is certainly worth asking the question, in my humble opinion.

Personally, I pray that her faith remains strong, and they she does not compromise from the pressure of the media; and by all accounts she is staying the course. To that I say, ??????Well done my sister, well done indeed.??????

Hey, how did you get your blogspot to look so nice? Is it a template I just never saw or did you do it yourself? It looks nice and clean ;)

why does having done a topless shoot mean you can't be miss America? or is it simply because she didn't say anything about it before?

and; what were her comments about same sex marriage? I don't know anything about this woman [lol]

Tconwell, they want her to forcefully accept gay marriage. That's the problem. I mean, you HAVE to accept them otherwise it's all hell. [lol]

I am sure that most of the gay community would probably just say fine let her live one, but it only takes a select few to cause a ruckus, in this case Perez Hilton.

Now, if I was Miss California, I would grab my boobs! [lol] No seriously, what she needs to do is get herself a good lawyer, I hear Gloria Allred is pretty good, and sue the hell out of the pageant for hiring a judge they know is 100% biased. Judges are to be 100% neutral. Now because the pageant decided to do otherwise and the pageant allowed this completely biased person to judge, it has ruined Miss California's career. Well not career but it certainly has made her the target of the media.

Gouldy, her comments were that she was brought up where marriage was between a man and a woman and stated that she believe marriage should be traditional and remain between a man and a woman. Certainly an answer she knew would cause ruckus with the judge who asked it, but it was the truth. If she had lied, maybe we would have forgotten already about Miss California. [:)]

^Agreed. She is a model.

I also agree TO AN EXTENT with Hilton. She was running for Miss America. She should never alienate a huge group of people. Miss America stands for everybody. Not that anyone really cares about her to begin with.

She was asked for her opinion not America's opinion.

Most discussions I've seen online about this has most gay folks thinking that P Hilton is an ignorant twit, and that he shouldn't have put her on the spot with this question. Also, most discussions I have seen have most gay folks just as dismayed and disgusted over how Perez acted afterward.

Would also like to point out that Perez Hilton is not a spokesman for the gay community. thank god. [:D]

Exactly what I was getting at bud ...

Kev, I agree and am also (very) glad that he is not holding court for the gay community, but I guess he is the latest "poster child" thanks to our wonderful media friends.

You were doing so well up until now with your powerhouse 85 posts. Quit holding up her (or anyone else's) faith as some sort of license to trample; it makes you look like the ignorant twit.

It's difficult to do that when an increased density of religion in an area increases the density of rape, murder, abortions, children had out of wedlock, drug use, and theft.

EDIT: Forgot higher suicide rates

I am not trampling anyones religion. Hilarious that you call me a ignorant twit. Nice. Classy. This is not about that at all. What still remains is the fact the she has lied multiple times about having semi-nude/nude photos.
