At I think last year or the years before Coastermania Dick Kinzel is quoted as saying Intamin wont be doing their next coaster. I remember this because even after Maverick I was thinking dang...there goes the chances of an Intamin woodie.

I think they are getting a gci if any coaster.

I'm going with the Aquatrax theory. Seems likely with the area that's being discussed and it fits with the alleged five coaster,ten year contract with Intamin.

If my sources are correct, CP is getting an Intimin. What kind is not know to me though. After they get this one, they can do something else.

I have also heard from many reliable sources that the third GCI has found its home and should be open by 2011.

I could only wish it would be a woodie. Only problem...Ill be moved (I hope) to Florida way before that thing gets installed.

Oh wells. Guess that means I gotta make a trip up. But who the heck knows. Kinzel did say Cp wouldnt be getting an Intamin ride anytime soon so if he lied there obviously anythings possible.

I wonder if anyone gave any thought to the fact that when the guyts from GCII were spotted at Mean Streak maybe they werent looking at it for a retrack but just looking at it for the sake of looking at it?

If they dont get an Intamin, how cool would that be to have a GCII in that area by MF? would fit in the frontiertown theme.

Cedar Fair has a contract to build five Intamins at CP, 3 B&M hypers at 3 different parks, (Diamondback, Behemoth, and the one at CW), and one contract to build 3 GCII coasters at three parks. (Renegade, Prowler, and one coming in a year or two.)

meanStreak is fun, but it really lacks with the trims, and it really was a lot more fun without them. =(

Looks like the Millennium island speculation was right then! If it turns out to be a GCI here, I think that would fit the whole Frontier Trail theme pretty nicely.

It's perfectly possible that the fifth Intamin will be a woodie, like El Toro and T Express.

I hope so, but I don't have any idea why they would have put "Gee, See Eye" on their twitter and facebook page.

^to mislead you...I have to say, I still think it is going to be a Auqatrax, but I think it is safe to say, it will be an Intamin or GCI.

See, I dont think the 5 Intamin contract was kept because I remember after Maverick at CoasterMania Kinzel was quoted as saying Intamin wouldnt be designing their next ride. Maybe after this one, which I hope it a GCI but if he was even telling a half truth wed get the GCI then get the Inti the next ride up.

A new GCI would be cool. I've never been there, but seems like CP is sorely lacking a really good wooden coaster. Kind of shocking considering their reputation for being the coaster capital and whatnot. I've only been on one GCI, but it was very impressive.

Demon drop has been for sale for years, I would not be surprised to see both a Intamin and a GCI next year. Zacspin from Intamin to replace Demon drop, it only costs about 4 or 5 million. GCI around frontier trail and using the island, Renegade is listed as costing 6.5 Million and Prowler costing 8 Million, so figure 10 million. That is 15 Million approximately, far less then the cost of TTD, MF, Maverick. Just a thought...

And the GCi fits perfectly into Frontierlands theme.
