I just came across this image that Darien Lake sent out in a survey:

There doesn't seem to be any information online, and I'm not even sure if it's legitimate. To summarize:

  • 3,290ft of cutting edge engineering
  • world's first wooden coaster with a wing over drop
  • zero-g camelback hop reversal & suspended corkscrew

Is this new on RMC's agenda? Are the language of steel coasters becoming synonymous with wooden coasters? What are your thoughts?

Woodie rides like steel... Could be a good ride. I don't buy the whole woodie thing with this. I understand why they call it a woodie just to.... prefab.

There was a thread about this a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if anyone was ever able to confirm or deny.

It was sent out on a survey by Darien Lake. They also sent out one about a frisbee.

Just because it was sent out in a survey doesn't mean it's a definite build.

I'm sorry, but are we not going to discuss what the HELL a zero-g camelback hop reversal and a suspended corkscrew are? I've been a coaster enthusiast for quite some time now, and I've only heard mumbo jumbo sh!t like that on low budget Travel Channel documentaries.

Also, is that not a picture of Hades 360 with the logo removed and a reverse POV image of Outlaw Run?

I'm willing to bet that the zero-g camelback hop reversal is what Outlaw Run's first element is and the suspended corkscrew probably implies to the GP that it goes upside down.

I mean obviously it's a Stengel Dive-esque element, but why not tell the GP it's an Overbanked Turn? That seems more simple than a "zero-g camelback hop reversal". They wouldn't know the difference anyway, so why complicate it? It's still appalling to me.
