One of my cheap plastic sled just broke yesterday. I thought that plastic sled was durable, but I guess no. I was wondering if taking a snowboard and ditching the bindings to sit down on the plain board itself and use it just like a plastic toboggan? I need a very heavy duty sled that will not crack, break in pieces, get a hole punched in it and be very very fast. I'm assuming a snowboard will do all of these things well?

Just buy a 4x8 plywood and use that.

This guy pick up lots of speed sitting on his snowboard as soon as he get moving. The hill with the double down dip doesn't even look very steep. So a snowboard used as a sled in real life should work very well based on this video.

It takes some balance to sled on a snowboard. I don't know if you're coordinated enough, cool5

Sigh, how hard is it to keep this topic clean for even one single page?
