Which hammerhead? Anyway, I would use an hybrid transition. Reduce normal force to something like 0.8G or 0.9G during the banking transition and raise it to 2G-2.5G for the turn.

Starting over. I'm at the hammerhead but I forgot how to approach it.

This is actually MUCH easier in FVD++

I'm going to add a hammerhead into the list of elements for my class on Saturday. The roll features in FVD++ make it so much easier to understand.

Is FVD++ in general "much easier"?

It's a little tricky to get the hang of, but the short answer is yes. And by "much easier" I mean that the functions in FVD++ are much more powerful than those in Newton. You can create a complex element in a more efficient method than what is possible with Newton.

I'm having a ton of trouble creating a simple loop. this was so easy for me to do in Newton 2 but now it is pretty challenging.
