Thats interesting. The one that comes to my fair (Browns Amusement Rides) is called Pole Position as well, and shares the exact same layout. I just assumed that either Butler amusements sold Pole Position to Brown's or the company was renamed. It runs terrible but it is worth the credit. I think ours is very problematic as well. Mostly air leaks forcing the brakes closed Mid-Course, stranding us in a MCBR.

From their website, Brown's Amusements doesn't appear to own a major roller coaster, so I assume the Pole Position is the one Butler Amusements owns. Depending on where and when the event is, it's possible Brown's Amusements rents the ride for a specific event. For example, Butler Amusements does their Arizona shows in mid-March to mid-April, so if your fair (which I assume is in Arizona based on the carnival operator) is in or near that window it is entirely possible they're simply renting the coaster. In my experience, Pole Position is problematic as well, but it seems they can usually run it for a majority of the day. At Castle Amusement Park, it wouldn't be uncommon for Screamin' Demon to only operate for a couple hours.
Coaster Count: 535 (114 wood, 444 steel); Park Count: 110
Top 5 Wood: El Toro, Voyage, Thunderhead, Outlaw Run, Boulder Dash
Top 5 Steel: Superman the Ride, Fury 325, Millennium Force, X2, Intimidator 305

Anyone who's actually been on defunct "homemade" coasters? I'm just wondering so. This question may be quite hard to answer.

:D
