I see that a lot when coasters are being built. Not sure why though.

Probably waiting for some cement if i had to guess as sometimes the manufacturer will leave that much gap, cement will be poured underneath for more stability.

Ok but how desperate you have to be to voluntarily fly from another country to go to Thorpe?

Looks decent enough - launch out the station makes for a nice prelift - looking forward to the scenery elements they add to this too!

When you build something you have to account for the ground settling underneath the structure. The structure is held up by it's own weight but different parts of the structure may have different settling rates depending on the soil condition. Some time after everything is vertical they will come back and check each column to make sure it is in the correct position, and when they think no further adjustments will be needed they will fully tighten the bolts down. The plates on the footer have some play in them that can be shimmed out.

TLDR: If they tightened it all up as soon as they put it in the load might change if the ground settled.

Can't wait for a warm weather, fully broken-in pov. This and Piraten should be a great combo.

I mean you could visit for the coasters, but the topple tower is the real vision you should visit.

Looks like the ride has opened. Seems they have some theming still to finish though.

Honestly that looks like the only ripoff of Vekoma's suspended family coaster that is actually different AND gives Vekoma a run for their money. It's pretty creative compared to everyone else's almost carbon copy of Vekoma's design. Looks like a great ride and should look even better once the plants fill in a bit in a month or two.

However the only complaint is that a slow-paced hill should have some swinging time by lowering that section. A "small" s-curve hill might be better!

:) Neat as for the ride quality! :)
