Ok but how desperate you have to be to voluntarily fly from another country to go to Thorpe?

As much as i hate to see a ride go, i hope this ride gets to be at another park. We all know who to blame for the starting of the removal of these Topspins.............................KI. I never liked Crypt/Tomb Raider (i rode it when it was Tomb Raider and was balling when i got off. I was 9), so I wasn't to sad when Crypt didn't come back. I do know the Drive box is still at KI in the building though!

Top spins are awesome as long as they're the right model. The old one at SFNE sucked because it had the restraints that neuter you.

Probably all coming to the end of their lifespan. Alton removed Ripsaw recently and it might be unrelated but Chessington don't run theirs during off peak season.

It's sad to see Topspins go... We still want the rides with "flips" not only with loops. :(

Surprised this hasn't made it's way over here. The park posted this video yesterday of Patriot cycling!

I still liked it better as a stand-up.

I would like to say that (I dont know if you can see it in the test video) Patriot will have a roof over it's station. The question was asked during the ACE tour a week or two ago (I dont know who asked or who to credit as this was pointed out on TPR).

As much as I loved the stand-ups when they first came out, they don't age well! I loved Iron Wolf in the beginning, but when I rode it right before it was removed, it was so brutal! Worse than any Vekoma out there! Mantis and Carowinds Vortex were same way. I rode Rougarou opening weekend after its transformation and wasn't thrilled at all. Sure it wasn't as rough, but still had some headbanging. I could care less if I ever ride it again.

These conversions are a cheap way for a park to get a new ride without getting a new ride.

Looks even more boring than I thought it would. I'm betting Demon goes soon since Patriot fulfills the same role now.

^^ The layout itself looks so fun, bar the train style! :D

Still liked it better as a stand up. Maybe these new wheels and trains need to break in a little though.

I'm still failing to see the point of them doing this, and then they didn't even bother to put a roof over the station. Even a tent would help.
