So it's a really really expensive version of those go karts shaped like a Model T on a rail embedded in concrete then?

A German subtitle says like "Test ride with the Skyfans at Skyline Park" so they are, I guess, still adjusting its speed. LSM I hope!

Fingers crossed! :)

That looks really disappointing so far. I hope when everything is fully adjusted it'll go a lot faster and smoother.

I'm guessing that most people just go full speed the whole way. Seems like it would be cool to have super long high speed tracks through scenic areas.

I still think this is an overly expensive and useless attraction. Other rides can do the same thing.

I think with a bit theming this ride concept could be interesting

The original idea looked quite fun. But the way it looks on the POV it actually looks quite rubbish. Would this even be called a rollercoaster? Controllable powered coaster?

So after just three years of operation, Sky Dragster has closed (Following quote translated from German):

*** Out for the Sky Dragster in Skyline Park ***

It was speculated for a long time, now it is a fact. The Sky Dragster, which caused a lot of problems in its 3-year term, can no longer be found on the 2020 parking map.

You can find the problems and all information about this prototype in our data sheet: https://bit.ly/2Hu2L8T

Never went out there to ride it, but seeing all the technical problems they had, I'm starting to wonder if it would have been open on my visit. xD

They have the ride removed from the park map, but I wonder what they will do with the physical ride. Dismantle and try to sell? Scrap it? Or just remain sbno until forever?
