I absolutely love what???s going on here!

I???m happy to see that this is a possibility for coasters such as these.

I???d love to see their work on some aging Arrow/Vekoma coasters here like Vortex at KI or Viper at SFMM. There aren???t many of the mega loopers left, and it???d be kickass to see them renovated and modernized!

I???m stoked to see the new POV and finished design of this!
Oh, were you expecting something here?

^Viper at SFMM would be a great candidate for this type of rehab. The first half of Viper is freaking awesome and actually pretty smooth. The second half of the layout is cool, but has several rough spots. If they would just do the second half, Viper would become one of my favorites in the park. I like to make a joke that I wish they would let people get off at the MCBR

All that's left is the helix!

Apparently the piece at the bottom of the drop that connects the old and new track did not fit and has to be remade.

Cant believe they are building the connecting piece on an unsupported angled plane. No wonder it went wrong...

They look flattened. I hope the company didn't try to add a snap to them or something like that.

Looks considerably more gradual than most older Vekomas. I think the janky supports make things looks more odd than they are.

I don't think the crossties help either, looks reasonable to me!

I'm honestly super curious to see the POV of this thing when it is done.

Should be great assuming they don't do anything stupid like tried to add whip to the corkscrews.

I do think "jr's first loopy ride" is a market that new rides aren't really created for anymore and it tends to fall on a parks Arrow/Vekoma built in the mid-80's

^Weirdly enough a lot of GP think Python is scarier than Baron1898 because Baron doesn't have any vertical loopings

Hope yall are ready for a good laugh.

So you might remember the track piece connecting the old and new track was too big originally, so they sawed off some of the old track to make it fit. However, they seemed to have sawed off too much and now the piece is too short! I wonder how they'll go about fixing this.

Looks like S&S have some competition

Wow, so much wow.

But in all seriousness they had a similar problem when they built Nessie. They installed the last track piece backwards so they heated it and molded it to the track. The nudge is slight but it's at braking speeds, this will be after a drop...making it
more painfull then it was.

They started with "Push and Pull" tests on the new track
(What are Push & Pull tests?)

I believe they push (or pull) the coaster through the track to make sure there aren't any immediate issues with the train and the track interface.
