These type of helices in general are just not really around much anymore. I'd argue Son of Beast brought the era of giant helices to an end.

I'm curious what they will do with that spot (next to the lifthil) where that giant helix was, considering 3/4 of the wood has been taken down. They could just remove some wood instead and place track (and crossties) there or am I wrong now?
