So BGW has submitted a height waiver for a 315 foot tall attraction under the title "Busch Gardens Madrid." Could this be the beginning of the Spain themed area at Busch Gardens?

That would be incredible. I was just there two weeks ago. BGW is ENORMOUS. The coasters are all cool. I was underwhelmed by Tempesto, but I adore Alpengeist, Griffon, and Apollo. I got tired out pretty quickly but that might be because I did Kings Dominion the two days prior.

Another huge roller coaster, namely a giga, would make the Richmond area a major hot spot for thrill seekers.

Interesting new development about the 2020 coaster....

(9/16/18) According to an interesting new rumor posted to WildGravityTravels, the new coaster planned for Busch Gardens Williamsburg in 2020 is said to be a "multi-launch shuttle coaster" experience with a top speed of 76mph. Given the size this ride is expected to reach, I'd be surprised if this is a true traditional shuttle coaster style layout, and maybe something quite next-gen where it may start things off with a forward/backwards style shuttle launch segment to get up to speed and utilize some kind of transfer track to get there, with the rest of the ride being a more traditional one-way track affair. Perhaps something like the Star Trek: Operation Enterprise coaster that opened in Germany last year that does all of this on a much smaller scale... but add in a drop off the cliff in Williamsburg for a near-miss with the Rhine River and I could see it hitting that kind of speed easy. The one odd thing is that the permits for the ride asked for a 315 foot height variance, but a ride that tall would be able to reach 90mph and not just 76mph, so something isn't quite adding up here.

It really is a park for everyone.. if only it had one more original world class dark ride to really make it a well-rounded park
How was the Erie VR ride?

Theming on top of a track spike could make it that tall?
Shuttle coasters usually have awful capacity and are somewhat short, but multi-launch leaves open the possibility of a couple switch tracks I guess. Hope we see something great here!

Way I see it, the giga is what we???re getting. I doubt we???ll be seeing 4 new coasters come to Busch parks in 2020, but the 3 we have sound relatively likely. I still think this???ll be a B&M Giga, and the GCI rumor for San Antonio doesn???t sound too far fetched either. But one new coaster for SeaWorld Orlando in 2020, is just hard to conprehend. I see them getting a thrilling flat (praying for the spread of Screamin??? Swings across the chain!), and San Diego a family or kids ride.

Well someone just leaked the 2020 coaster:

Looks like something similar to Soaring with Dragon at Wanda Hefei in China.

The SeaWorld Orlando leaks that had this same format had "TBD" next to many of the details, so it's probably a good idea to take all of these company leaks with a grain. That being said, these images look like legitimate preliminary sims. I think the eventual products will end up being very similar.

It's always speculation until it's confirmed - be interested but don't get your hopes too high lol

Honestly, if it's big, and Intamin, its probably good. The last large coaster Intamin built in the U.S. was Skyrush so anything is welcome really.
What are these for?

Bumping time everyone. https://rcdb.com/16812.htm

I expect an announcement in March, the hype built up for this thing has been tremendous on other forums. It could be Intamin???s hand at a Full Throttle 2.0 (short gimmick coaster) or the best coaster in the world.

So um I cant submit images (tried but failed) of the leaked Busch documents... but this coaster is gonna probably NOT have a 315ft spike (probably for a starflyer flat height and the coaster will be around 200-250ft high)
