this actually fills an open niche in the SFMM coaster lineup nicely.

Oh? Please, enlighten me.

On another note, I find it obnoxious that they used Full Throttle-style lap restraints in the teaser image and Tempesto-style OTSR 'comfort collars' in the official animation video. Anyone else notice that? I'm going to assume they'll be using the shoulder straps but I suppose we'll find out eventually.

It cant be the world's first racing launched coaster; wasn't Fiorano GT Challenge at Ferrari World the first one?

Let's fix it for Six Flags and just say: "World's first racing launched coaster that goes upside down"

Hopefully, construction will start to ramp up as we head into winter.

lol, "launchs." I think they should've done a lot better with this whole project, really don't feel like it adds a ton to the park. The addition as well as the layout just feel completely random.

I think this will be really good. It's a solid mix of airtime, inversions, good forces, and dueling action. Hopefully, this design will solve Twisted Colossus' dueling being crippled by too long a loading time, where the dueling happens on a fraction of the runs. Plus, it's really a good use of space and the GP will love it and the theme (Enthusiasts will have fun as well; also, I love the theme, go west coast!) Premier does a good job with a solid, American made product! Good thing it's not some weak Mack launch. My biggest disappointment is it's been 4 years since a major coaster and I was really hoping for something huge, but I guess it's a good financial decision and it keeps Tatsu/Superman/Riddlers/etc perceived height continue to seem much taller than, say, a giga would. Will probably boost go cart sales as well, which are an additional fee, and ties in with last years developments: Riddler's and the boardwalk/Crazanity area.

F. Its opening in July/August given the super slow construction process. The info says Summer 2019 so rip.

Ehhh I still think this would have been excellent in literally every other park...but not here. I'm not finishing for the "xtreme omfgz recordz" kind of addition instead, it's just still an odd choice.

Judging from construction, it's probably going to be close. However, given how strongly the park wants it open in June I'd say it's more likely than not.

Construction is starting to pick up a bit, but it's still moving at a snails pace:

...and this rumour from Screamscape might explain why this project is taking forever to get off the mark:

(12/31/18) A strange rumor was sent my way claiming that an interesting issue had come up regarding the park???s upcoming West Coast Racers project that is likely to delay the construction a bit. Again??? this is only a rumor, and nothing confirmed at all, but if the details are even close, it could be awhile longer before we see track and supports start to arrive on site. I guess we???ll have to wait and see.

Good thing about the comfort collars! I always think wheels on coasters look horrible though. Also, Premier's seat design sucks, it's like a stiff recliner for fat people.

If it ends up having only lapbars I'll be happy. :) Those stupid shoulder restraints are useless anyway.

Looks like Cyclone Bay will become the Underground when West Coast Racers opens this year (hopefully):

In other news, work on the site has started to pick up, but this is still far off going vertical:

Maybe the redesign is the reason that the park has not yet released a POV yet. It would also explain why they keep on moving back the construction walls.
