Well, it has the same footers as a MACK Spinning Coaster and Xtreme Spinning Coaster. But to be honest, I feel like they'll get the MACK Spinning Coaster model.

New construction update:

Also, there been a few updates on the various TS twitter accounts.

First off, work on the Diner has begun:

Image

(Also, one thing i would like to note about this image is the Route 83 on the side of the Cement Mixer. It was probably photoshopped in but either way, it's a really touch from the park).

Moving on, it seems like the next attraction unveil will be Buffalo Falls (The Wave Runner retheme), this evident by the fact that a Great Race down the falls will be held on June 21st:

Image

The great race down Buffalo Falls will be returning again this June! It's a chance for local residents to build their very own special rafts and compete for the glory of descending to the finish line in 1st position

Well, we have had a record number of raft entries from the local residents of #TornadoSprings for the great race down Buffalo Falls. We are pleased to confirm that the race will take place on 21st June and we can't wait!

...and finally, according to this tweet, an announcement on the whole thing is due, in July:

BREAKING NEWS: Major announcement for the future of @TornadoSprings imminent? Rumour mill pointing towards July announcement from @TS_Mayor? Stay tuned to @RadioZ106 for the latest

That's all for now. Really excited to see how this develops.

For those who don't know who they are, here's a link to their website and the various projects they have done over the years: https://www.mkthemedattractions.com/

Finally, one month after the Great Race next week, Bufallo Falls (The retheme of the Wave Runner) will reopen on July 21st:

Important message from @TS_Mayor! "Due to a huge amount of entries we have taken the decision to open Buffalo Falls full time to both tourists and local residents on the 21st July 2019! We hope all visitors to @TornadoSprings will enjoy the thrill of Buffalo Falls!"

The raft race happened yesterday. Not much came out of it apart from this piece of concept art for the entrance to Buffalo Falls:

Also, the station for the coaster is really coming along. Looks like it will be themed to a barn:

So it turns out Paultons Park will be taking the cover fully off Tornado Springs on 4th July, and it's seem like from the image that Lawrence Mancy (Assistant Marketing and IT Manager of Paultons Park) posted on twitter, a short film will be coming out on the day:

Well here you go, Tornado Springs has been fully revealed (EDIT: Full Details):

Image

The UK???s number one family theme park, Paultons Park, has announced details of a major new world of attractions which will open to the public in May next year.

???Tornado Springs??? is a creative imagining of a Midwest desert resort town set in the American heyday of the 1950???s covering over four acres and featuring over eight different rides and attractions. The concept has been developed exclusively by Paultons Park and is designed to appeal to a wide range of ages from 3 to 14, consolidating the park???s position as the top family leisure destination in the UK.

Paultons Park, which is set in 140 acres of parkland on the edge of the New Forest in Hampshire, holds TripAdvisor???s best-rated UK amusement park award ??? and the distinction of being the only theme park to have received this award three years running.

James Mancey, Operations Director of Paultons Park, said: ???We are extremely excited to bring Tornado Springs to the public next May. The new themed world represents the single largest and most ambitious investment in the future of Paultons Park since we opened in 1983. The Tornado Springs concept is unique to Paultons Park and will significantly extend our capacity to entertain and delight children of all ages.???

Tornado Springs has been developed to offer true cross-generational appeal, with the 1950???s Americana theme resonating across the generations. Due to the enduring popularity of the era and films such as Grease and Back To The Future, it???s anticipated that Tornado Springs will prove to be a crowd-pleaser for parents as well as children.

The new attractions set to launch at Tornado Springs include the Storm Chaser rollercoaster ??? a free spinning ride, taking trains of carriages to an exhilarating height of 20 metres above ground. Storm Chaser will be the only rollercoaster of its type in the UK, creating a unique draw for rollercoaster-loving families from across the UK.

The Cyclonator ??? a Gyro Swing spinning pendulum ride, carrying 30 riders at a time and rising to around 25 metres ??? is expected to become the most thrilling ride at Paultons Park. Cyclonator, which will be themed as a wind-powered invention by the townspeople characters of Tornado Springs, developed to scythe their crops ??? is just one example of the incredibly detailed theming being created by Paultons Park. Thanks to its memorable characters, intricately finished styling and even its own radio station, Tornado Springs is set to immerse visitors in a fantastic and wholly believable world.

Tornado Springs will also feature Al???s Auto Academy ??? a garage-themed driving school ride with 30 electric cars, which uniquely gives parents the opportunity to hop on board and help guide more novice younger drivers around the track ??? while slightly older children can take a classic American car out for a spin by themselves. Two exciting Windmill Towers family drop rides, the Buffalo Falls water raft ride, and Trekking Tractors will complete the line-up of rides available at Tornado Springs.

In addition, the new themed world of Tornado Springs will offer Al???s Garage, a confectionery based shop; Route 83 Diner, a family restaurant; - and two new playgrounds, Parking Lot Tots and Junkyard Junction, to cater for differing age ranges.

James Mancey added: ???We felt that the theming of Tornado Springs was a natural fit with the traditional family values with which Paultons Park is synonymous. We???ve coupled the vibrant appeal and charm of the 1950???s era with best-in-class rides and attractions to create a truly unique world which, in association with our existing fantastic themed lands, will stand head and shoulders above any other family attraction in the UK.???

Tornado Springs will become the fifth themed world at Paultons Park, joining the UK exclusive Peppa Pig World, Critter Creek, Little Africa and the Jurassic-themed attraction of Lost Kingdom. Paultons Park is currently open daily from 10am, and new for 2019 is the amazing Jungle Adventure Show, featuring a chance to meet and greet meerkats, snakes and lizards!

Tornado Springs launches to the public in May 2020. For more information, visit the official website, http://www.visittornadosprings.com and follow @tornadosprings on Twitter.

I would also like to add that i was at the park a few days ago and got to see the current progress, and i can say there are quite a few of these track pieces already onsite. They were also drilling the foundations for Cyclonator and finishing off the foundations for the Windmill Towers.

We have the ride model confirmed for Cyclonator! :D

Discovery Revolution 30 brings ???over the top thrills??? to Paultons Park

Image

The Zamperla Discovery Revolution 30 is a new windmill-themed attraction that is due to be installed at Paultons Park in the UK in December this year.

The attraction sees up to 30 riders seated in a large circular gondola facing outwards and held in their seats by over the shoulder restraints, with their feet dangling below. The ride action is like that of a pendulum and as it begins to swing, the gondola also rotates. As each swing gets longer the gondola eventually swings through a full 360 degrees for a totally mind boggling experience!

As well as the full, adrenaline pumping 360 degree experience, the Discovery Revolution also offers a progamme that provides a slightly less extreme ride, which sees the gondola swinging and rotating but does not include the full 360 degree element.
Below is a rendering of the new windmill-themed thrill ride.
