I'll be posting an article I made as soon as i can. But there will be delays because im so busy. PM me because I will need reminders. Anyway, making custom supports is complicated but I'm glad that you're intrested in that.

Basically You use custom scenery which can be found by DL some parks with the supports in it, or at at the roller coaster tycoon scenery database (sorry I forgot the link[stupid])

You don't need custom scenery. You can just use rct2's objects. I dont't have the article on this com so I can't upload it now. Besides, it takes time because the admins need to approve of it.

true in some respects, but for the most part, the good supports are found in custom scenery[pshades]. Anyway good luck finding your supports!

Why waste time finding custom scenery? You can make pretty good supports w/o those. But if you insist, DL SupremeScreamer's rec of TTD. (sorry, too lazy to make a link)

for custom Rounded/normal supports, its best to use custom scenery, for hyper or wooden support, its better to use what was included in the game.

for the scenery database go to:

MY article will show you how to make those "Rounded/normal supports without custom scenery. The only problem is that the vertical beams aren't capped and are too thick in diameter and have no footers. But otherwise, there's nothing wrong with using rct supports. You should see my supports for my B&M's lol. They're pretty cool. Look for my track named, "Forever Fields".

I would think that maybe someone with some real good RCT2 experience would write an article, unless you really know what your talking about!

Hey! I'm really good at making custom sopports for coasters. I'm working on a small solo park right now with a steel, and I'm working up some nice sopports. PM me Coaster 2004 if you want more advise. [;)]

I don't like custom supports in RCT2. It is ok on hypers and other high coaster. There you need them, but on average Beemers and other small coaster's they just look stupid. Even if they are made good. I only make them when it is necesary.

Moving to Singapore in july!

Yeah, on B&M's they're necesary. Hyper supports are extremely easy. B&M supports are alot more complicated because you will need to know about the beams and stuff. If you use 1 flat beam and 1 slated, instead of both slanted, it's slightly easier. But the standing vertical beam doesn't look good.

Are you insulting me????? [;)]

Thanks. BTW, I was just kidding. I've nearly finished the article, and now that I'm bored, I'm going to upload it. You might need to wait for an admin's approval though. And it's a little confusing so it may not pass. Let me try it.

Edit: I just did it and the pics don't show for some reason.

I found a trick for higher supports really high supports is you change the screen res in RCT2 under the options. The RES needs to be as high as it goes and it makes it alot easier to make the high supports.

No it isn't. You just use the ctrl function. Read the manual for more info.

The trainers didn't screw up mine. I use 8cars all the time. It works just as well as RCT2 itself works, if not, better.
