well first impressions are the game is awesome and was far better than i tought it would be...however. After playing the game a good hour the game really began to lag and the fps really took a dive, like around 10-15 fps job. Also at a first glance the game is quite complicated and finding tools can be a nightmare, just finding the POV was a challenge to start with...however all you have to do is doble click a ride then double click the box that appears.

Apart from that the game was really nice. The interactions between guests is simply awesome. In my game there was a woman with two kids and one was in a bad mood so she followed her mum about 20 meters behind, but would always run to catch her up if she went too far...i found that pretty sweet.
The coasters are quite good, due to all the themeing and rest of the park, still the ride quality doesnt compare to SM or NL, but that was expected. Also you can ride every ride you build, even the thrill and gentle rides which was nice. I even took a 300ft trip up the tower ride thingy (minds gone blank)

Another feature i grew to like was the night and day mood, it was nice how the sun set and cast a nice orange tint (like NL's sunset env) and then the lights on the rides lit up, along with all the lamps etc, and gave a whole new mood to the park

Its a shame the demo doesnt allow you to have more features enabled such as setting your own fireworks, and limiting you to only a few ride types. Overall i was impressed and will most probaly buy the game! [pshades]

I usually don't comment on other coaster games, but I'm kind of feeling strongly about this one... just tried the demo (after a 7 minutes download, thank you Comcast!)the first thing I though was SA-WEET! but then, after three complete demo cycles (45 minutes each, after which the game kicks you out and you have to restart) I suddenly got the feeling of "I've done this a million times!" well DUH!, if course I have... turns out RTC3 is nothing BUT RCT with camera freedom and 3D graphics... true, the graphics are catchy and the day-night cycles are nice and hell the lighting is nice (err kinda) but the core of the program HAS BEEN UNTOUCHED; aside of just a new GUI (which is not ugly) there's nothing new here... no new angles for tracks or anything, and the way to build the coasters is the same old.. tell you this much, if you know RCT/RCT2 then you'll be right home with this one...the only thing you'll have to get used to, is to where the things now are in the new GUI... but that's pretty much IT. no wonder it took so little to develop this new game, since they didn;t have to develop a new core.
Overall the game looks nice, plays pretty well, and has nice graphics (if you don't look too close) weird thing is if you wanted to write a review of the game you could just dig up a review of RCT 1 or 2 and add the "nice 3D graphics, and now you can ride your rides!" remark and that would be IT. I do, however, see a lot of potencial now with the new sandbox mode, which is what probably 99% of the cardcore RCT fans were waiting for and that alone might justify the price tag.

Get this demo and see for yourself.

Try here http://gamesdomain.yahoo.com/pc/rollerc ... iles/45624 this one works just fine, as I said in the small review a few posts ago, took me 7 minutes to download (@430KB/s on cable, of course... it's 190 megs)
they haven't post the link in the main page yet, so the servers are not loaded yet, get it while the traffic is light!

Has anyone checked out Atari's message board and seen how many people have been getting an error and not being able to play? crazzy

I also had a 7 minute download with comcast from the following link:

http://mirror.playzen.net/demos/?gamespaper

Intalling the game now, will let you know what I think in a few...

Played around with the game for a few minutes and I agree with what Edge said. It took a bit to find the right tools and stuff but not bad. It has the same feel as the previous RCT games. I most likely will get it.
If you are going to make a scene, be seen.
