RCT 3 won't run on my windows xp computer. Every time I try to run it the screen turns black like it is loading, but then it goes back to the desktop and gives me a send/don't send error message. Can anyone tell me if it can be fixed?

It might be a problem with your graphics card so i would consider going to the video cards site and downloading the latest driver for your computer, also it helps if you can send a screen shot to me so i can check it out.

Exactly right, Matt.

Nanner, Your graphics card is not equipped to handle the program -- check your system settings and then check the recommended settings for the program. Then, upgrade your system as needed (a new video card would be the best way ... something like an ATI Radeon 9600 (or better). A card like that will handle just about anything out there and is not too expensive. Best Buy ought to have it in stock.

What about the NVidia GeForce 4's? (dom't get the MX series, they're the same as GF2's, just faster, though they can handle the game, you won't get water reflections...)

I have an Nvidia Geforce 4 and it runs Nolimits smoothly. Rct 3 runs just fine, maybe a little slow, on my sister's laptop, and she has a Radeon 9000.

I downloaded the patch several times from several sources, and every time it says "invalid patch." I looked up the graphics card I have, and it says "Geforce 4 MX 440 with AGP8X." It was the card that came with the computer. I'm not sure if it is good or not. I don't want to shell out a bunch of money for a new graphics card just to get one game working and to make nolimits slightly faster. Every other game on my computer runs just fine. I'm guessing the Geforce 4 is one of the low-end cards, since I looked it up at compusa.com and it was one of the cheapest ones for only $60.

I remember that rct3 would run but my computer would shut off whenever I got to the load screen, I sent a error report to microsoft and they gave me a free thing called "Intel Extreme Grapics", its a free download you can most likely download it on the microsoft website.

You should've tried the demo first before wasting $40.

well, I have a 56k dialup and I didn't want to take days downloading the demo. Even the 10 MB patch was a big download for my computer and it didn't even work. That was a major dissappointment.

The title bar says "RCT3.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
The part in the middle says "If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost. Please tell Microsoft about this problem. We have created an error report that you can send us. We will treat this report as confidential and anonymous. To see what data this error report contains 'click here'"
There are three buttons at the bottom: "Debug, Send error report, Don't send"
I have already clicked on the button to send the error report. I usually click "don't send" I am downloading an Nvidia driver update right now to see if that will fix the problem.

well, look at your computer's specs, and then look at the boxes specification, it would work best if you had ample ammount of memory, and a good processor, and why your at it, if you need to get anything else, buy a radeon 9600 Pro or above (go above)
don't get the MX series, they're the same as GF2's, just faster, though they can handle the game, you won't get water reflections

That's because the MX series was released before Direct x9 came out and does not support all the graphich capabilities do to the lack in shaders. That's why I'm debating if I'm not sure if I should get a new video card, I'll probably end up getting something good, then 2 months l8r they'll release direct x10 and my card will be out dated again.[xx(]
