Admitidly i've never really liked Oasis, so why i went in the first place was beyond me
We arrived at Milton Keynes bowl about 1 ish, where really we just sat pretty much as far away as we could on top of the verge bowl. The first band came on at 3 and to be honest, they were pretty crap. I dont know who they were, but they were nothing of intrest. They finished about 3:45 im guessing, so we used that break for food and water.
At around 5 ish, we decided as a group to try to get as close to the front as we possibly could and due to the lack of people at the front by that point, we managed to get 2 people from the front dead centre. At 5 a band called Secret Machine came on, a band i've never heard of and they did actualy kick ass. Shame the crowd at that point wasn't doing much.
After they finished the 22-20's came on, they were alright, but during the end of there performance all the drunks started to move in. Unfortantly we didnt get any alcohol for some reason, why we didnt is still beyond me

At 6 the coral came on. They really sucked, but for some reason everyone started to love them and general dancing and jumping around was starting to begin. I tought it was getting a bit hectic at this point, but man was i wrong

At 8:20 the crowd was starting to get wild, Oasis were due to come on at 8:30, but the corwd was generaly love gone nuts. As the graphics for Oasis came up on the big screens, the whole crowd started surging forwards crushing most people (including me at the front) When 8:30 came and Oasis got on stage, absoulute hell broke loose. I dont know how to quite described it, but for a couple of moments i couldnt help thinking 'i'm probaly going to die here'. Drunks everywhere were pushing the crowd in every direction. The whole crowd would move about 20ft forward, then 30ft back, then 30ft to the side and the whole time you were so tightly packed and crushed that your feet hardly touched the ground. People everywhere were passing out due to the great crush and i was glad by this time me and one of my 4 friends there at the day were generaly moved with thecrowd about 10 rows back, we were in the middle, right in the Maelstrom of it all. Groups of alcoholics and druggies surrounded us and pushed in every direction. I mean if you feel over, there was no doubt you would of been trampled in the crowd. Not to mention the constant onslaught of beer being thrown on top of us from the back of the crowd. It was nothing but pure madness. I made Metallicas gigs look like a walk in the park. From what i could hear of the music over the top of the crowd aswell was pretty awesome. They played al of there rock songs and it wasnt until there slow songs untill the crowd started to settle down. Which was a damn relief, because by this time the temperature in the centre must of been over 50 degrees celcious. I was wet from head to toe in sweet, alcohol and god knows what else that was unleashed upon us.
Yeah, so not much a review on the band or music. More about the absoulute mayhem that we experienced
