wat is the difference between no limits editor and the no limits editor software?

None, they do the same, i don't know why Ole gave them different names

i think one is rendered trough software and the other one trough hardware...

Because the one using hardware would run using your graphics card while the other is being computed from your CPU.

You never knew that? Most problems with programs arise from issues with conflicting hardware. However, using pure software usually never has any conflicts and its a way to solve problems and diagnose an issue.

i never had any problems with NL, i didn't even knew there where two versions, so which one is the best, actually?

Keep in mind that software mode is significantly slower than hardware mode. Use hardware rendering unless it has problems. (in that case, you probably wouldn't be able to use the simulator)
