Bout time, geez.

Too bad I probably wont get back this year after my 2 early trips, but hopefully lines speed up.

Ride will be actually fun once its totally overhauled. Same for Big Dipper and Villain, they all need it bad.

Yeah....Why would they swap out PTC's for Gerstlauer trains?

Kind of makes no sense (unless they purchased it for cheaper than it would cost to refurb the ptc's) like how Warner Bros Movie world swapped out Intamin woodie trains for Premier (eeek!) woodie trains on Bandit! http://rcdb.com/id967.htm

There was never a PTC on RWB or Villain, always G-Trains (at least since SF was there I believe)

At least the capacity will be better.

That must be an old shot.

CF didnt bring in the G-Trains. I went there the last year SF operated it and Villain and RWB ran the same trains I rode in this year. Strange, why would you ever do that?

RWB had PTCs until the 2003 season. When I went in October 2003 it was running a Gerstlauer train from The Villain, and it was the first season that it ran them. I remember people in line saying "It has new cars, maybe it will be better now!" [lol]

Yeah, the second half of the ride was completely retracked by the Gravity Group a few years ago, and is VERY smooth now. By the time it hits the second half though its so slow.

Actually, not all of the second half, only a few portions. The second half is now worse the first because a restoration group came in and redid the drop all the way to the second turn around and its smooth as can be now.

Just figures that second turn around has the most force and its still ancient so its still brutal.

The retracking though improved the speed greatly and now theres a nice suprise pop of lateral airtime, its actually quite nice.
