cant figure out how to ride other rides besides coasters. and fps rate is a bit slow, even for my comp which has GeForce 5600 or whatever that number is and other top notch stuff.

Well, I downloaded it (I would suggest getting it from the ATI site, much faster download speed) and I think the graphics are awesome. There are some problems with collisions on the wooden coaster, but other than that, it seems like it will be worth purchasing. BTW, for a whole list of download sites: http://www.atari-webcenter.com/friends/ ... age&id=134

just select the ride and double click on the rotating model at the bottom-left portion of the monitor, that'll take you into POV view

Of what there was in the demo, I think when the full version is released, RCT fans will be in their element...

Hopefully the FPS issue will be taken care of before the release. The choppyness makes gameplay a bit sluggish as far as moving around the park and stuff. BTW: has anyone looked at the track types that aren't available in the demo? They stuffed in a strata coaster, and one other thing: it looks like your coasters and other rides have unlimited heights. I built a 1000 foot observation tower and a 400 ft beamer inverted launching off at 123 mph. just to watch in POV mode to see it crash in the pond below.

OMG! I have to wait 5 hours for this stupid download (9.81 Kb/s)! Ugh. Remind me to strangle the punks at Mercer's Technical Services... they didn't prepare for downloading 184 MB files.

I prefer having both. One for leisure and fun, and the other for park building. "Exploring" is just like coaster riding. Too bad they were smart enough not to put it in the demo.

only took 17 minutes to download with dsl...but about the game. It took forever to load the demo park after installing and even with the details set on low i get crappy fps. Someone once said that if your comp can run nl and screammachines it can run this...i get anywhere from 30 to 70 fps in nolimits and 20 to 40 in screammachines and on this i would guess i get about 12...if there is no way to fix this then i wont buy this game

Well, 2 days after I began downloading the demo, it is finally done! The download rate dropped down to 3.15 kb/s (possibly lower even), and refused to go up. The final download time was 26 hours 31 minutes 12 seconds. oh well. The demo is awesome, despite the completely different control style, which takes a while to get used to. One thing that I noticed is that the g-force meter is way out of whack. (7 positive g's... uh, yeah, whatever.)

go to microsoft.com and download Direct X 9.0, which is a free upgrade to your graphics generator.

Lol, your internet bill is going to go up along with electricity costs. Wow, you waited that long? Is that dial up or is it some cursed broadband?

My connection is a college ethernet server. The network was only prepared for half the students having computers, but 92% of incoming freshmen brought a computer. Needless to say, the connection speed is awful. The only perk is that it's totally free. (Mercer University needs to take a hint from my dad's networking up at Muskingum College in Ohio... they have an ethernet that's as fast as broadband.)
