It seems this year is the year of long awaited roller coaster openings. First Flying Turns opens after years of construction and testing and now N?????????rburg's Ring Racer located on the F1 Grand Prix track is open.

Details can be found at these two pages. (Note, it may come up in German but you can change the language by clicking to the British flag.)

Heh. So it wasn't a waste of steel after all. I guess even this was able to come to pass before Half Life 3, like all the other openings/announcements about openings that I thought would never happen (Kentucky Kingdom, Flying Turns).
I can only hope Geauga Lake and Freestyle Music park will be next.

Freestyle is done. They opened at the worst possible time and got screwed by the economy. I don't see that park opening any time soon unless someone else buys it.

Most of it looks lamer than a jet coaster. It is mostly straight track.
