Just a heads up:
I am headed to SFOG on Thursday, June 2 with the family. Pics will of course be plentiful!

For Edge: I will remove the Date/Time stamp from my pics so they can be used more effectively. ;-)

you should get a video camera, or bring one if you already have one!

Due to the very real threat of rain -- trip will be delayed until Friday morning versus today. However, the pictures pics should be uploaded by Sat afternoon.

OK, what a day. Every single ride was in working order, but we did not ride Acro or Deja today, it was not the day for those and I'll explain why later. I am not going to write a huge amount of information on this trip as I would prefer to have you all enjoy the pics more than anything else. This day was spectacular -- we waited no more than 20 minutes for ANY ride in the park, and to prove it here is the sign on Superman as you enter the beginning of the queue:

And here is a typical queue:

OK, so without a whole bunch of babbling here are the pics. Enjoy and I will say the top three rides for me were: Superman (oh the forces in the rear seat ...), Great American Scream Machine, and of course, Cyclone (although the station has kickers (odd too see), and two wonderfully and perfectly made hills were trimmed all to heck which really made me mad. Of course, the tossing around and roughness was ALL that, so I guess I came out even.)

OK, seriously now, enough .... enjoy. [approve]

(I will get the onride photo I bought uploaded eventually -- the look on my face during the pretzel (which is shown here in the background) is completely priceless!!

Well, that is about it. Now, we did not ride Acro and Deja cause Deja kept on shutting down, then reopening and I just did not feel like rolling the dice since our day was SO great already. And Acro, well, we just decided to skip it. I mean, if you've ridden one drop - you have really ridden them all -- especially since this did not shoot up and down like Superman at SFOT or anything, so we skipped it.

There are lots of other pics (family pics and the like that I will spare you all from) -- but overall, this was a fantastic day. The park was basically empty, and ya'll, we had the time of our lives. Right now, we cannot wait for Dollywood later this month.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed "our" day ... cheers.
TJ

Looks like you got really lucky and avoided the SFOG super crowds...

Do you have any of those pictures in 1280*960 resolution?

hows life without the picture frame? BTW, with a little photo shopping to fix the lighting, and stuff, some of these pictures could look great! Others just make nice family pictures, and nice park discribers, but some are great action shots!

FN - Sent.

Cool - The surgery to remove the picture frame was long, but as you can see well worth it. If anyone wants to touch up the lighting let me know (via PM where to send) and I will send you the orig pics. I thought it more important to get the pics up then spend hours editing. With all I have going on this weekend and into next week it would be a month before I ever got them done.

yeah, you gotta get the superman pose, and everything, and you have to hum the Superman theme song, too! Or bring an Ipod and listen to it while your riding.

No doubt Gouldy and Cool ... after that my daughter had her hands out in the same pose ... but the wife and son were a bit nervous. My daughter is a wood freak and that element (the pretzel role) really caught her by surprise so she grabbed tight. We were in the last train and I'll tell ya, there is some serious Gs right there when you whip over and are flat on your back.

Dont flyers feel great? The feeling when you swoop down the first drop is just out of this world. I cant say bout the pretzel, but it looks a great element. The Fly to lie on air is good aswell.
