Well looks like the coaster war is starting again...
Anyways, this looks pretty decent, but as usual SF goes for the records.
And I wonder who came up with "Worlds first Top Hat".

Looks insane. Doesn't look so great on the capacity front though, because that second train won't be able to launch till the first clears the tophat.

Seeing how quickly the train moves, I would guess it would take no more than a minute for each train to cycle through the ride.

Of course, this ride is just going to break down all the time though.

Yeah I figure you're right. Plus a slowly moving queue is a bearable queue!

Yea I'm calling bull poop on the first Top Hat, although it will be the first one with a loop underneath it I think?

And yea I'm not a huge fan of a giant launch into a massive top hat that dives right into a brake run. If they added some nice airtime hills and twists and turns they could really make this awesome. SFMM has always really lacked an airtime machine anyway considering Goliath focuses mainly on positive Gs.

The "top" hat is a first. It's the first ever that a coaster had rails on BOTH sides of the track spine!

At this point, I have to ask: does Six Flags Magic Mountain really need another new coaster? This will be like the 5th that they've opened in the last 3 years. At some point, I really think you're crossing a critical line where attendance isn't going to go up any more no matter what you build.

Yes! Give us more!

I like the part that goes "Yolo" sure to connect with the inner city market SFMM is trying real hard to bring.[:D]

Because of their use of YOLO I am no longer interested. Iron Rattler is where it's at anyways

Looks like they may be utilizing the tunnel from the old tram/thingy system.

Pretty soon, there won't be anywhere to walk around if they keep trying to cram more coasters in there lol.

Looks cool, but it looks exactly like something you would expect to see if the assignment was, "make a roller coaster fit here, and make sure it breaks some kind of record!" There's nothing really special about it, and while I'm sure the whole "track over the loop" thing will be cool, it won't really offer any extra experiences on the ride itself. No creativity, in my opinion.

I think there will be an "extra experience" though, shaping-wise. The hill appears more circular in shape because of the loop, so that may create an interesting result for those who care and notice.

And I also think it's a creative ride as a whole. That said though, it's not a very "successful" ride in my opinion. The layout needs more after that final hill. Right now it's launch, hill, brake. So much lost speed, and the layout just ends in "WTF" fashion. A few more hills and a high-speed terrain-hugging curve-helix-thing would do wonders to the finishing impact of this ride.

Basically the ride as a whole could be so much more. It's a bit creative, but it doesn't go any further than a few gimmicks and a wacky inversion mid-layout. Overall, I'm a bit disappointed with the ride but it will still be interesting to watch, and probably ride.

Let's see what Intamin's response to this will be!

Why do they need a response? I haven't seen Intamin play off Premier very much thus far, unless you count the tophats...which had something like 5 years in between.

I appreciate the originality. Unique backwards launch that a lot of people might not expect. Hopefully the airtime hill connected to the loop will have a load of strong airtime. Other than that, it's clearly a pretty simple coaster. I think it'd be worth a one-time experience.

I totally agree on that. Also I'm seeing that Six Flags eventually removes the backwards launch because it would cause too much problems...

Looks pretty cool, but there's an awful lot of wasted energy before that backwards launch. The name is mediocre, they named the "new" element after a different currently existing one, and used YOLO. The World's First Ever "Top Hat" isn't anything terribly special, just a hill placed on the spine of a loop. The ride itself looks like it could be fun, but unfortunately they could have done so much more with it.

The sad thing is that that hill will probably provide the best airtime in California. As for the ride as a whole it should just be called Buzz-Kill: The Ride.

Personally, I think the ride looks pretty sweet in many ways, but the presentation is just dumpy in my eyes. The logo somewhat resembles word art atop a random jpeg. Not to mention the YOLO, which is just, well... [lol]
