to be honest, it's not technically a roller coaster, it's a thrill ride. RCT3 has a version exactly the same as the real one, listed in the "thrill rides" section.

I just got word from an employee at Six Flags Great Adventure that there is a "surprise announcement" planned for tomorrow, March 24th. Rumors say it could likely be Batman Backwards, which I personally think is very possible. I've also heard about plans to close Nitro for the first 2 weeks of the operating season, although this has been largely dismissed. Another thing I've heard is the opening of the Old Country path with fences blocking defunct rides. Thoughts? Of course, I could be completely wrong about everything that I just mentioned, but I thought it would be worth sharing.

Nitro, Ka, and Toro have not started testing yet. I have sources that I can't disclose but I can say don't expect Ka to be ready for opening.

As for the Old Country area, I can confirm that this is indeed a possibility.

Apparently there will be another announcement tomorrow.

From what I've heard, either the announcement will be about something small like a new lighting package for the park, or something major like if the state finally allowed Kingda Ka to run simultaneously with Zumanjaro. That would be an enormous boost to Kingda Ka's capacity and drastically reduce wait times, all while improving both experiences. A new lighting package definitely wouldn't hurt, especially in places like the Lakefront and Golden Kingdom, where it gets really dark at night. Another possibility is Holiday in the Park, which TTD03 mentioned in his recap of Winter Adventure 2015. Thoughts?

Well, it's a carnival ride. What did you expect?

I was there today! It was about 1/5th done when I arrived, and complete by the time I left. Insane speed of construction. I didn't pay much attention because I didn't think it would take them that short, but I did see them lift a piece or two

Larson Loop with 4D Free Spin could be more fun, though. ;)

This is literally 4 pieces, they didn't get this done fast. It took them all day while most carnivals only take an hour or two.

At least they put it up faster than some of the other parks' rides. Discovery Kingdom's Super Loop hasn't even gone vertical yet.

Not really... maybe if it was controlled spin. Free spin might would just rotate with the circle staying right side up (or however the weight distribution is).

I'm getting reports of developments in Old Country! It seems like there is more going on than just a closed path. For one, there seems to be digging and construction markings. This is getting interesting!
